Well, I'm pleasantly surprised to find that I'm far from alone in this position, but what the fuck is the big deal? Yeah, I find incest kind of creepy, but really I only think it's "wrong" if they choose to have children, because of the risk of the child being mutated. I really don't think it should be illegal, I'm actually disappointed it is.

It's also illegal to have sex in public, and I may be wrong but from googling the sentence of six months is popping up a lot. Seems harsh.. Either way, I reckon these two are looking at some jail time, wholly undeserved I'd say. Of course, it is The Sun, so it's entirely possible that what actually happened is the lift broke down with those two stuck in there, they finally got out, only to realise they left something behind. And then the sister remembered she owed her brother some money.

The reasoning for these laws stem largely from back when you couldn't separate sex from procreation, but these days only the offence and disgust it cause really keeps these laws in place in the first world. Which I don't see as enough of a justifiable reason to criminalize something, but the laws remain in place, even if they're obviously almost never used.

There are no "classic physical features" of being the products of incest in medical literature. It's a baseless cultural stereotype, which has more to do with influential authors like Poe than medicine.

It's not so much about morality as it is about biology.
Inbreeding IS biologically(Did I spell that right?) wrong, and can cause an increase in the chances of offspring being affected by recessive or deleterious traits. This can lead to loss of immunity to illnesses, deformations, and possible loss of fertility.

Yes the people having the sex do nothing to themselves, but it's not them. It's about the offspring they may create.

There are worse things though.
Also, could they at least keep it at home if they must keep it in the family?
