I'm probably the one who's the most excited here...I'm not bragging but not only was I in tears when I heard that Activision wasn't publishing it, I was so excited when I heard EA took it up that my neighbors almost called the cops on me when I started blasting metal xD

EA isn't the big evil corporation they used to be (that would be Activision now) its was Activision that Dropped this one ,Ghostbusters , and many others for fucking Spiro and Crash Bandicoot not saying EA hasn't done some shitty things (the NFL License)but as of now there not the gigantic assholes on the Block

Though as for the "sequels being released every year" thing...it's not ALWAYS bad...Insomniac Games has released a game every year since 2002, and they always end up being amazing ^^

This game looks amazing. I have a feeling I'll put it up there with Fallout 3, LittleBIGPlanet and Crackdown on my list of awesome games...

Also, if anyone's doubting Jack Black's ability to be funny, go and rent Kung Fu Panda now. I find watching it restores my faith in the guy.

As for the game, I can't wait for it. Any game that features Ozzy Osbourne as the Guardian of Rock n' Roll, and has Jack Black killing shit with a huge axe is OK by me.

Eh, frankly from what I've seen, it doesn't look too great. The platforming looks pretty awkward and the hit detection on the game didn't look that great. The animations for most of the characters, from being hit, to Jacky swinging the sword, did not look good and it just all seems random to me.

I tend to not give freebies to developers just because Tim Schafer or Ted Price or Team ICO are making it. So, in response to all those people saying "It's made by Tim Schafer, what more could you want?!?!" I say; I want a good game.

Now, this may sound a bit pestemistic of me, but I am hopeful of this game to prove me wrong. But from what I've seen it seem a bit dull to play it and the only thing going for it is that it's funny.

I pray to the rock and gaming gods that I'm wrong...

Well that's a first I've heard from anybody. Usually everyone jizzes their pants and goes around saying "IT'S NOT JUST ABOUT THE GRAPHICZ IT'S THE GAMEPLAY THAT MATURZ!#@#%" when it wholey depends on the game and I really don't want to get into a rant about this because I've ranted about that topic a billion times.

But you saved yourself when you said "humour, interesting stories and whatnot are just as important, if not even more so, as gameplay." because that's usually what I try to get at in those rants (though some are slightly more focused in certain aspects in some games), and that's why you see me say stuff in my original post with a variety of problems that I see in the gameplay footage I have seen so far.

Don't get me wrong, it looks hilarious and completely crazy, but to be completely honest I'm not too excited about it as I was at first.

I watched the first 16 minutes of it on GameTrailers, and I can honestly say it looks to be the most unique game to be released this year. I'm definitely buying this, and Scribblenauts, when it comes out!

From what I've seen, Jack Black isn't really TOO impressive; he fits the role nicely though, which is more than I can ask from most games! Besides, has Tim Schafer ever let us down?
