Who cares, as an x-men fan that WHOLE franchise was crap. Especially how they gayed up Nightcrawler, and always had one huge noticable mistake (like wolverines shirt healing itself, or nightcrawler in the pit before he even teleports there). They were all cornball, badacted garbage and paid no fan care as far as I'm concerned. Those movies are like games based off of movies. If they never make another one, it will be too soon.
Someone's still nursing that boo boo on your tender fanboy spot because the movies didn't turn out exactly how you wanted them.

OT: At least Emma Frost will finally be in, but I always loved X Men 3, I never understood why people think its so bad.
I liked it when Juggernaut ran into the wall and knocked himself out.
I like when he said "AM THE JUGGERNAWT *****!" just before that bit.
hahahaha that part I loved

I never felt X3 was "BAD" just...left something to be desired

and while I loved Wolverine, especially as a character, I still will take it with its faults (which I don't think were nearly as film breaking as people say, maybe just a tad cliche)

A lot of people seem to think they should stop making X-Men films. HA! An X-Men films pulls between 300-350 million, an the moment Fox stop making them the Disney Marvel alliance will be waiting. These X-Men films are gonna get made, so they might as well be made by the man who gave us The Usual Suspects and X2.

And also, I thought it the film was gonna be about the young X-Men from X3 (Kitty, Iceman, Angel ect) I think that would work out better.

Is anyone else sick of re-boots, re-imaginings and re-hashes? There are so many great DC and Marvel characters out there that haven't had a fair crack at a decent modern film, so why do we keep having to go back to the same old tired out concepts.
Can you even imagine how good an Exiles movie would be? Or why not the Green Arrow or a JL movie? These are big characters with lots of scope!

C'mon Hollywood move along, there is nothing more to see here.

I kind of hope this movie is a subtle retcon to some of the more retarded things they've done in the franchise.

What was wrong with Last Stand anyway?
Whatever, it's good to know Singer will be back on board, since Wolverine was bad.

I would assume we'll have Cyclops, Jean, Beast, Emma Frost, Storm, and maybe Havok.
I was always under the impression that Emma Frost was a baddie b4 she was a goodie, what with her being the White Queen of the Hellfire club and all. And Havok's a lot younger than Scott, isn't he?

Cyke, Jean, Beast, Storm and maybe Banshee would make sense.

should be a good one

would they be continuing where the third left off... or are they just gonna search through the past more?

im not complaining since i would like to see movies of the backgrounds more :p
Please, read the original post at least before responding. What you did is like going on a gay rights thread and saying, "Hey, everybody, is this a gay rights thread?"

They have to reboot the franchise since they had Jean kill most of the important characters.
GOD I hate Xmen 3.
Jean didn't kill anybody. I read an interview with Lauren Schuler Donner or whoever was in charge of the Marvel films at the time, and the question was asked, are Scott, Prof. X and Jean really dead? The person responded by hinting at something that the Prof. said while teaching a class in a particular scene, and summed it up with "nothing is as it seems."

My guess: all 3 are stuck in the astral plane, and Emma Frost or Psylocke will be introduced to free them from the Shadow King.

Sir, I'd like to introduce you to the concept of the Ensemble Piece. See the movies Magnolia, Boogie Nights and Crash. While you're at it, you might wanna see the first 2 X-men films.

Emma Frost was in the Wolverine movie, however, and she got picked up by Xavier at the end of the movie.

Oh, and was it really necessary to make four posts in a row?

I certainly wouldn't mind a Generation X movie, I needs me some more Jubilee, dammit. Or, something with Cable in it.

In the first movie they said Cyclops and Storm were the first. And Beast was revealed to have been a former student in the third, so they're in. I'd hazard a guess at someone like Emma Frost, but I couldn't really say. I think these movies have kind of gone with the Ultimate X-Men take on things, so possibly Storm as well.

Assuming that Mr. Singer isn't as brain-dead as Bret Ratner, he isn't going to try an shoehorn a dozen unimportant copies of mutants into the movie, and just focus on the main group, as in the first two films.

The biggest problem with the third one wasn't in the directing, though. It was piss poor dialogue. If you want the new one to be good, bring back David Hayter to write it.

P.S. Thanks
i still love the fact that Solid Snake wrote X2

More Wolverine is only a good thing, also Stewart as Xavier is still in my top 3 best castings of all time. I enjoyed X3 and Origins in so far that i wanted brainless fun, but i do agree that beyond that they were a bit bollocks.

there are very few comic book movies i get excited for, as bar a few, most get ruined by concessions made to appeal to the "mass movie audience"
usually such concessions dont improve the film for the film or comic book audiences eg Galactus being a giant cloud

I like his character from Jackman but i agree he has been waaay too overpowered. The scene where he
kills phoenix
was just ridiculous
