Neopets: The Darkest faerie.

on average, you can encounter a game breaking bug every 7.5 minutes on this 10 hour game. most bugs have no reason behind them.

Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing

No excuses...
DAMN NINJAS!!!
So yeah,Big Rigs,a game that you couldn't only not lose at. But allowed you to go over anything and everything and break the speed of light going backwards. It's either buggy as all hell,or the programmers were really that bad.

I've never had that many problems with it, admittedly its not exactly the most stable game ever. and i do have the expansions which fix some things.

And on topic- Sumotori Dreams.

D&D : Daggerdale is one of the buggiest games I've played for a long time, floors disappearing, unable to move after blocking and the most infuriating; a boss battle that reset after I'd spent 30 mins figuring it out.

More fool me for hoping it would be a spiritual Baldur's Gate : Dark Alliance III. :/

Actually this guy is right.
Even with all the official and unofficial patches this is one of the buggiest games ever made.

I had to start over three times because of three (different) fatal glitches that made the game unplayable. One caused constant crashes, one stopped the girl from dying early on and bugged out the team system, and one gave a permanent 'slow' effect that has never been patched despite numerous accounts of it happening.

This is why I'd rather have my £7 back for that game.

For me personally? Hellgate: London.

Followed closely by STALKER: Clear Sky, Fallout 3, Dark Void, Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness, and Messiah. All games that were barely released in a playable state. Sadly only Clear Sky ever got patched to working performance.

The online works perfectly and I have yet to meet anyone that has encountered a bug. Or encounter one myself.

Oddly, Mass Effect 2. I've had a ton of bugs, and while only one was game breaking, they were all definitely noticeable.
For the record, "noticeable" is not the criteria for fixes. When a game is in the late stages of Beta, things break, but the only the devs are really going to care about are progression breaks, crashes, hangs, out-of-worlds and severe memory leak issues (Usually referred to as A-Class bugs). B-Class bugs are sometimes fixed, and usually anything below a B-3 is going to be waived as designed.

Now, in most of the Beta stage, testers are asked to bug everything (regardless of severity), but a good third of that stuff gets waived anyways. With deadlines, it's just impossible to get everything fixed. Plus, with every new build, two things have broken for every one thing fixed.

For the record, though, I've come across several progression breaks and out-of-worlds in Mass Effect 2 that I was able to reproduce quite easily.

Despite the fact three people in this first page have already said they have?
Alright... sure.

Divinity 2, whats that, you want to leave this basement? TOO BAD! The doors gone.

Whats that, you want to defeat this monster? TOO BAD! For some reason it doesn't take damage but can still give it, oh by the way, you need to kill it for a story quest.

Whats that, you want to continue the story? TOO BAD! For some reason you cant pick up this plot important item.

Whats that, you want to turn into a dragon? TOO BAD! Now your dragon stone is malfuctioning and an entire dragon only area is blocked off, did I mention that you have to go through that area to get to you next story quest.

Seriously, and those are only the game breaking ones, or at least all of them I saw, after retrying the game 5 or 6 times and running into the same bugs I gave up.

There are litterally dozens of bugs that are just annoying, like when your jump animation just gives up and your charecter levitates in the air, or you get hit and several minutes after defeating the monster your charecter groans in agony at the wound he recieved yesterday.

Although I'm a huge fan of the Gothic series (Gothic 1, 2, 3 and Risen. Fuck Gothic 4), Gothic 3 was released in a really shitty state due to the publishers wanting it out asap, and what's worse, the developers lost rights to the franchise and therefore were never able to fix the bugs.

There was nothing wrong with the content side, only the technical side, crashes, huge memory leaks, quest items disappearing, quests not finishing properly and so forth.

Luckily however, a community project was started to fix the technical issues of the game and nowadays the game has reached its full potential. Gothic 3 is an amazing game with the 1.7 community patch. Gothic 3 <3<3<3

So if you gave up on Gothic 3 when it first came out, you owe it to yourself to check it out again with the 1.7 community patch!

/fanboy out

PS. Stay out of the god awful Gothic 3 Forsaken Gods "expansion". It sucks in every aspect of the word and was not made by the original developers.
