Half-Life 2: Episode 1 with the ARV. "HOW THE EFF DO I TAKE THIS THING DOWN?" Seriously, I stood right next to it (god mode) and hit it with a rocket launcher and it STILL didn't go down.

One 5 second quick time event in Wolverine for PS3. You have to tap square so fast it would be quicker to capture and train a Woodpecker than to get through it. I changed controllers 3 times to try and beat the damn thing.
god bless turbo controllers.

Playing through Pokemon Ranger. Fighting the god damned legendary dogs at the end was excruciating.
Also the flying boss on Shadow of the Colossus. Took me about 2 hours, and I was raging the entire time.

The first thing that came to mind was actually from a mod.

I was playing the Wing Commander Standoff mod on a particularly difficult mission. I had destroyed a slew a fighters, and several capital ships over the course of maybe half an hour and there was only 1 enemy fighter left on the last nav point. I was severely damaged and out of afterburner fuel, so I stayed back hoping one of my AI wingmen would take him. After waiting patiently I got sick of watching them fire at nothing so I waded back into the fight, lined up my shot...and got blown up by a salvo from one of my own wingmen flying behind me. That was over 2 years ago, I have not loaded that game since.

I was playing Assassin's Creed 2 at my friend's place, I had just gotten the controller from him after hours of that dick playing, unknowingly agreeing on a "to the death" rule with him. Well, he played to that point where you meet the woman and try and catch up to her (honestly, it's the farthest I've gotten in the game, I still don't have it). Well, I start chasing her. I chase her a fair distance and a pair of guards attacks her. I jump to kill the guard and land on a peasant, assassinating him in a fucking awesome manner (like you do), and the guard and girl have gone another block. I charge after them, jump onto a ledge, and leap after the fucker... and two fucking peasants walk in front of me. They die, I desynchronize, I lose my turn, and I very nearly bashed my friend in the skull with the controller and leave before I get really pissed. Good times...

Fable 2 was terrible all around, but the biggest dump that game took on me was Reaver killing the "final boss". I made it this far, I experienced loss, hate, more loss. This man killed my sister, my dog, my wife, my children, my other wife...everything

All this time, I was anticipating a duel, man to man (in women's clothing with mutton chops). We had the narrow platform. We had the ambiance. We had the nearly immobile bystanders. We had the monologue. As he reached the climax of said monologue, I prepared myself. I had fought myself to keep from hitting him early. I swear, I could hear him yelling as began parrying and attacking. I could vividly see myself knocking him back, disarming him with a well placed shot, and then lobbing a force push at him, ending his life.

Instead, Reaver pops a bullet in his head.

"Terrible sorry, did you want to do that?"

I hate you Peter Monstrouslyretardedgameandlastname. I hate you.

Oh! No! I have a worse one. Playing Bad Company 2 online. I was charging this guy and attempted to knife him. He turned and started shooting at me. Now, in any other game, the melee would have gone off without a hitch. But my Bad Company character had to fucking flourish the movement. He pulled the knife out, flipped it so the knife was sticking out the bottom of his hand, pulled his hand back to prepare to drive the knife forward, all incredibly fucking slowly, and by the time the knife started moving forward the guy had finished unloading his clip into my midsection and my spinal column was starting to feel a breeze, so I fell over. Dead. Luckily I was alone with a pair of dogs in a big house because I have never sworn so much or with so many colorful addons in my life.

Saw the game. I meant SAW all that combat... I died because he punched me into a corner, so I couldn't dodge, and he hit me to fast so I couldn't hit back, thanks to combat being slightly better than dog turds.

Boost Guardian from Metroid Prime 2. That was so frustrating to try and dodge him while he's ricocheting off the walls at high speeds all the while in a poisonous atmosphere. I died at least 15 times before I could first beat him.

well this didn't really anger me (greatly) but the mission on halo ODST when you have to escort a phantom outside the city so you can fly away. It is a spaceship and could have just gone up but instead we had to escort it before out of the city before the "up" button worked.

Playing Mass Effect, I walked into a room full of rocket drones without knowing. I promptly took cover before getting torn to pieces, and luckily so did the AI. I commanded Tali to use overload on a drone that was flanking us. She refused. Wrex was at no shields. I commanded wrex to use warp, but he didn't listen. Wrex was down. I open fired on a drone and Tali decided to stand in front of me, blocking my shot. Tali was down. I ran away and was hit by a rocket.

My last save was an hour away
