Bungie and Activision Announce Exclusive, Worldwide Partnership.

Bungie, are you guys blind? Don't you see what has happened to Radical, Infinity Ward, Red Octane etc.?
It sort of looks like Activision are looking for a new cashcow.

So xbox just lost its biggest exclusive franchise? Fuckin awesome Activision!!!

Not exactly, the franchise will still belong to Microsoft, I bet.
Bungie have stated long ago that they'll stop developing the games.

I felt the same when I first read it; I'm all for Bungie moving on and doing something new - as probably do all of the market - but if Activision have their way we'll have more spin-off's like the poor 'Halo Wars' and the average (and poorly named) 'Halo: ODST.' I'll admit that I'm a fan of the Halo series, but I'm getting sick of it being a simple cash cow for the big guns.

And whilst I understand that Activision will be able to finance Bungie's long term goals, I feel that you are frighteningly right Furburt: Activision easily have the financial weight to 'acquire' Bungie with a forceful takeover if they desire. And as you said, we can kiss goodbye to their creative control...

I ment untill Bungie is eaten whole. Then, once Activision has consumed enough companies, it will turn its eyes to Blizzard, and the true battle can begin.
