Hmm, I'll wait for gameplay and such before I make a concrete decision. The strikes against it for me is:

1. Bungie/Activision: Considering the pedigrees of both companies (Me being neither a Halo nor CoD fan) it's a bad start.
2. Always Online: My internet droops whenever the phone rings, making me have to wait 5 or 10 minutes to get the internet going again, so no.
3. Multiplayer focused: I can deal with this (Loved Lost Planet 2, RE: ORC, Borderlands 1/2) but coupled with the above two, not looking good.
4. Setting/Plot seems bland/cliche for me. I'm one of those gamers that MAINLY plays for a story. Unless it's handled well or has some decent twists, nada.

I'm interested that there are so many people saying that the story seems bland. It actually looks really interesting to me - not many shooters go for a fall-of-Rome style plotline. More importantly, it's distinct from Halo. More like Fallout than anything else.

The thing that's worrying me is the online connection requirement. I've never connected my Xbox to the internet, never used Live. If I have to buy into Live and move my console setup to play this game...well, it'd better be a really good game.

Not interested in the game, but those designs for the enemy factions are sweet.
