To be honest, I kind of like my good old family recipe cake less then any sort of birthday cake I've had.
But then again, that was when my mum was making them, and she ends up charing the hell out of them, because that's how her mum likes them. I cook 'em a bit better... lovely and moist, aparantly.
Actualy, mine are pretty damn good, maybe even better then the afformentioned birthday cake.

Cheesecake is boss. Or Battenburg. And I can never get enough of a good chocolate tiffin, if that counts too (so soft and gooey and chewy, it's just amazing!).

Give me marzipan and/or fruit and/or quark, and I'm sold, basically.
