Actually, from what I heard (of course I heard it from some of my braindead friends) there are three CoDs in the making; Black Ops, Modern Warfare 3, AND the one being made by Sledgehammer. Even if my friend just made that up, isn't it possible that IW has MW3 in progress, because I personally wouldn't be suprised.

Guess I have higher standards*. I've encountered plenty of hacking (the genuine kind) and a fair amount of lag, certainly more than I would expect on a game that's still the developer's most recent product.

OP how can you possibly say that the COD series is dead to you. Wjhy not make up your mind after you have played it? Everyone seems to think its cool to not give anything new a chance. After MW2 I will be glad to see some things hopefully change.

I wish them luck, If they fuck up their first game it could spell disaster for them, what I wonder is who is going to make the new engines for the series.

My personal view is while I wish them luck I dislike activision so I won't personally buy the games.

i think they should just give up while they're ahead i mean seriously i am SICK of fucking call of duty there just too much of it it is stagnating our market to the point where actaually fun games are being scoffed off for not even being cod singularity springs to mind.

i mean fucking seriously people complain about halo being stagnated with only 3 games this series reached its high point with number 2 with each one after just offering tweaked multiplayer.

Meh, at least Treyarch have a couple of decent titles in Spider-man and Spider-man 2, over this completely unknown studio. It's all Activision's fault anyway, this is what they get for maiming Infinity Ward, one of their flagship series is basically in the toilet.

Hm... it seems odd that two people would have two so different experiences with the same game. Even objectively so. I'm sure I've only seen, well, one hacker. There was lag to begin with, but they fixed most of it with a patch, and I pick local servers. Meh. I'll just keep playing it and you'll just keep not playing it, no? No biggie.

Cod4 was good, five was dissapointing, and I didn't like MW2.

With the decline in quality between MW1 and MW2, I think it could be good to have a new company. Though activision being behind it means I'm still not very optimistic. I'll probably do what I intend to do what Black ops. Wait, and play it at a friends, before I buy.
