$15 does sound a little excessive ... but then that works out to £9.64
So no doubt we will have to pay £15 which then brings you up to $23.34 ...... Why do game developers charge so much for DLC! I'd understand if it was $15/£15 for a new campaign and a couple of maps, but 5 maps should be an update not an add-on. I know that developers are a business and so looking to get as much money out of one product in a short time, but it just seems excessive, I mean if they release another map pack at £15 then they have almost doubled the profit per game sold.
If an MMO releases one huge "map pack" (which is essentially the equivalent of WoW expansions, LoTRO expansions. e.t.c) they charge little-none for it and constantly update, maintain and patch the game, they keep the content fresh for a whole year-2 years, whiles't these add-ons for $15/£15 give about 4 or 5 more weeks out of a game. Now I know it's a little silly to compare MMOs and FPS' but then theres games like Fable 3 and Mass Effect 2, they both have useless add-ons (cheap or free) and then big add-ons which extend the story and give you unique rewards (a little bit more than cheap). Whiles't with CoD all we seem to get is map pack after map pack for a lot more than they should be worth
