Call of Duty: Fall of Osama?

It would make an interesting game.Considering how flawless the operation went, (as far as we know)someone will definitely try to make it in a couple of years. But the actual attack on the compound would only be one short level considering the Navy Seals were only on the ground for 40 minuets.

Make it real-time. I'd play that. I mean, don't charge full-price, but if you made it minute-by-minute, that could be good fun.

Or maybe include some intelligence-gathering missions to pad it out? Also real-time?

Intelligence gathering? I don't think the world is ready for a water-boarding mini game.

don't get me wrong, osama deserved to be killed, but wanting a simulator of the actual killing is just.... disgusting.

So, with the news that's on right now, and all the talk about black ops it got me thinking about Call of Duty. Now that Osama's finally dead, and it's a huge deal for us with books and movies no doubt soon to follow, what do you think are the odds of a game featuring the "Kill Bin-Laden" mission? Would it be tasteful homage to the men who did the deed? Or would you think it was just shameless capitalizing on a media frenzy?

Considering Medal of Honour or Call of Duty couldn't actually call one of the Multiplayer teams "Al Quaeda" or something and had to call them "The Opposing Force" I don't this is gonna get the "go ahead"

I think this is one of those "Too soon" cases, hell call of duty just made one about vietnam, and they are so far the only ones to do it because of how controversial the war was. They would destroied by almost everyone if they did such a thing.

True, and I think, as someone pointed out, it may have come out after BOps did. And I know nothing about Magika I only took issue because I've seen so many ads for Vietnam games (which I really do find in incredibly poor taste) in magazines, mostly for stuff like Shellshock, Conflict: Vietnam and so on, but yeah. I basically just copied over a list haha

Maybe a game briefly mentioning Osama kind of like what they did with Castro (one level with him in it with name mentions later on in the game), but that should be in a fairly long time. Definitely not a full game about it though due to the fact that it's kind of stupid to capitalize on a single action for a whole AAA game. But sadly that will probably be the case.

So the game would be...what? 10 years of playing where's Waldo:Osama Edition fallowed by a 40 minute mission that ends with no casualties and Osama dead? Sounds like a horrible game that they'd have to dress up and stretch out to the point of insane hitorical inaccuracy. The really sad part of this is that alot of people would still pay 60-70$ to play this game if it was a full length game.

The mission would run almost exactly like the first level in Black Ops.

Knowing Call of Duty, not much, you would end up fighting in a giant mecha battle at the border of USA/Iran.

Having to chase after him for 10 years and then ending up killing him in a raid where everyone tries to be the first guy to put a bullet in a bedridden old man is rather anticlimatic, thought a very teaching experience as an ending.

Also have any gone into detail about the soliders life, mental state and the conditions of war they suffered through? As it is what CoD games usually do well and what makes them so popular and what could also make them contraversal

CoD has never been about real events. It's always loose adaptations.

(Besides Black Ops, but that was the most terrible single player as of yet)
