Some kids in my U.S. History class were joking about this exact idea yesterday.
I personally feel that an exact imitation of the raid in a major game franchise, like Call of Duty, could put the lives of the men and women deployed in Afghanistan in danger, an American pastor burning the Koran did the same thing recently, and I don't think a tribute to American soldiers should endanger them. That seems to show anything but respect for what they do every day. However, I imagine that many people will produce flash games based on the raid and that, as the most important military operation conducted in recent memory, it will no doubt influence the public consciousness and, by extension, that of the game designers at Treyarch, Infinity Ward, Respawn Entertainment, DICE, etc. Due to this I imagine that the raid will influence some of the First-person shooters currently in production.
I don't really care about whether or not the raid is imitated in a videogame. The important thing is that Osama Bin Laden is dead and that his death was accomplished with a minimum loss of life and that no international incident has yet occurred because of it. The men who were deployed to kill him are part of one of the two most secretive U.S. military units known to exist (S.E.A.L Team 6) and I highly doubt they expect, or desire, such a tribute. Especially if you take into account how the events of the operation will need to be dramatized, as most pieces of entertainment based on historical events are. After all, 5 people dead, including an innocent bystander who was used as a human shield, doesn't make for a fun level in a videogame.
