So I've been skimming some forums and I've found a lot of artist threads and have seen a lot fo good pictures. But if I try to draw, even looking at something or following a guide, it sucks. And I mean it's the worst drawing I've ever seen and I credit my poor drawing skills to the fact that my hands don't stop shaking.

So escapees who can't draw, why not?

Also, I can't not draw because I'm bad at drawing(Although that's maybe 780% of it) I can't draw because I'm;
A)Not creative enough(although I can write up kick-as* stories)
B)Can't see enough details in things

Anything I've "tried" creating in minecraft can tell you those two points above :(

EDIT: So as a tip from one of the "artists" below I've been drawing in my free time. What have I been drawing? Kirbies. Lots of them. ONce I get my scanner working I'll put some on here...although most of them are with my school work but...who cares.

I can't draw at all. I can form grand detailed images in my mind, but my hands just can't translate it to paper. Also have horrible handwriting.

I can't draw, but I sure can come up with great drawing ideas.

I can do sketch work though. And stick figures.

I could not draw anything decent to save my life.
But I have been told it is a matter of practice first, talent second.
So if you really want to learn, you can learn.
I just never had the patience.

Same here, I also have terrible printing though so I always type if I have the chance

I come up with amazing ideas too...I wish I had an artist I paid to draw what I was thinking. And I can't sketch but I can doodle. Stick figures and the like.

I have drawn exactly one thing that looked pretty good. That was a still-life of my left hand. Other than that, I'm pretty abysmal.

I can't draw, but I can paint. It's odd. I've actually had two paintings go to a "Spotlight on Youth" showing, and one of those went to a museum for a a few weeks. It was pretty cool.

Good ideas, but not enough drawing skills to actually show my ideas. Plain and simple.

<- Artist.

It takes practice, just following a guide isn't going to get you results instantly. Drawing isn't assembling a desk there's more to it. Keep playing with it, keep a loose grip on your pencil and just make lighter looser shapes and then detail it up and eventually something will come out of it.

I cant draw shit but man can I come up with a grand oil painting in my head. here watch
The ground is a barren, dusty plain that stretches to meet the horizon. The sky is black and speckled with stars and stretches to meet the ground. At the horizon the sun is barely cresting the world, shooting out great rays of light across the sky. Facing away from you is a figure out lined by the sun. His right hand is held aloft, in it a sword, with the sunlight glinting off its tip. cowering before him (seen around his outline) is a ragged figure, sitting with its head bowed.
Thats off the top of my head. Anyone got a good name for it?

This is going to sound more concieted than I intend it, but I get the feeling I COULD draw if I put some effort into it.
I mean, ANYONE can draw with enough practice, all talent does is give you a small boost at the start. I just get the feeling I could be pretty decent if I wasn't so lazy about it.
Wow, this only gets worse. Okay, what I am getting at here is that I have drawn some things before that were passable and I am surprisingly good at line-following.
Jesus, alright, I give up. I AM NOT A VERY GOOD ARTIST EVERYONE JUST MAKING THAT CLEAR
