I'm reminded of Calvin and Hobbes, how that boy was always causing trouble, and going on with his life with his best friend Hobbes, the tiger. Then I wondered if there would be a future where Calvin is old. Sure enough...

Yeah, a friend of mine said that the artist took an existing picture thats like that and turned it into that. Give that person a medal, whoever he/she is.

I respect Watterson's decision to only let the work stand on its own, but I desperately have wanted a "Hobbes" since I was 4 and I think I'll still want one at 74. I even wondered if one could be commissioned by someone who could make a stuffed animal.
