I as a lover of many games. A lover of Freedom and my right to do what the game allows me to do without the need of hacks cracks or not working as designed (bugs etc)

Big Modern Warfare fan. Played it quite alot but, I always get laugh. When someone camps noob tubes etc.

It more often than not sparks a flame war.

Tactics that others deem unfair. Why do people complain? I come up against all and found ways to counter and best them.

The way I have seen it and forever will see it. Is if the developers of a game wanted to disallow a tactic that they could. This idea that so many seem to have of there is one way to play the game and that is my way and thus get huffy because others don't seem to follow their rules.

I know used modern warfare as a main example, buy even in WoW it happens. Corpse camping, ganking sets so many off on a rage.

Now I know this isn't a new problem and x-box live ehhh no comment on that ( really... no comment)

But do you all feel that those who feel that this kind of gamer is well... making us all look childish?

I don't complain. Yeah, sometimes it gets annoying but when ever anyone starts flaming over a game?
It's just immature.

Also, thank god there's a mute button! :D

It's called being a whiney spoiled *****. If you use a tactic that is clearly possible with the game mechanic and owning... then you are doing nothing wrong. I think if you are going to lay down rules and stuff banning tactics that are ccompletely legit as per the game design then it should only be in a special sort of contest or competition.

In my experience it is only the crybabies that realy vocalize their suckiness and blame it on another person's "unfair" play style. People like that actually make me want to continue on with my current way of playing.

I don´t get it. If the game do state that a tactic is legible (defend this position). It does say that Camping is allowed! how can u defend anything if U just run around killing anything thats not on your team! Really! U just get a guy tell him run to their camp plant the bomb run away and kill the others when they rush your bomb! That´s stupid!

OK I don´t think many will do this but I´ve seen this happen many times. Defend when your on Defence!

Well, I dislike campers a lot, Especially is most of the enemy team is doing it. Say what you want about it being a "legit tactic" that doesn't stop it from being fucking annoying.
I can at least understand why you would camp in an FPS though. It's cheesy and annoying but it helps you win.

One reason why I got sick of WoW was the fact that on most days some guy with 20 levels on me would gank me and camp my corpse until I quit. There's nothing tactical about that. All you gain from doing that is a misplaced sense of superiority and I should stop before I go off on a rant.

Akimbo motherfucking G-18s...I use them too, but that doesn't make them any less ridiculously powerful.

Also, backdooring in DotA and DotA-esque games has always pissed me off.

It reminds me of back in the old days playing quake in my grade 10 computer science class after the teacher gave up all hope for us.

One kid would just jump constantly while shooting and clean house. Just jump and shoot. Everyone kept bitching about how it was such a noob tactic.

At one point he just typed in, "If I suck so bad that i have to use a noob tactic why can't any of you beat me?"

The silence was deafening.

That's not camping, That's defending. Camping is when someone is hiding in a corner, or a completely seal off position waiting for people to come along.
That's sniping. Camping is only when you sit in front of a spawn point and shoot at people as they spawn in and not expecting to eat a rocket launcher while they check the map.

If that's what you meant ill go back in my box.

Class limits. If the other team wants to be as unbalanced and easy prey as they want, we should let them!

That would be Spawn camping.

Sniping is when you are...well sniping. I'm talking about the little fucks who hide in corners with their shotguns or rapid fire SMG's.
Sniping and defending is really close to camping. People blame anyone of these of camping if you stand in a place for more than 5-10 sec. At least I get blamed for it >.<

Not really. If someone finds a camping spot most of the time you can blow it up or roll a tank into it.

Staying in a position is fair enough, but if you're just sitting their looking down your sights at a door waiting for someone...That's just annoying.[/quote]

Usually i´ts only for 1-2 kill but many times its the same guy /guys that doesn´t learn I´m still there. And as has happened many times on most maps they constantly runs into me :p

I don't complain about camping during shooters or spamming during fighters. It's perfectly legit. Despite that, I still think spamming is somewhat annoying. Not to the point of getting angry, but it's annoying hearing the character call his attack every time for the entire match. Camping is perfectly fine. I have grenades ^_^

The definitive most annoying thing in games to me is probably the entire other team running around with grenade launchers in Modern Warfare. I'm fine if a couple people use them, but having 6 people on the other team using grenade launchers is just plain annoying and not fun to fight against. Explosions every few seconds from long range and almost no way to dodge. I don't care if you're buffing your kill count and it's just really efficient for you, it's just not fun to play against when you're on the other team. I feel the same way about the entire other team loading out with Martyrdom on Vacant. Too many explosions make it too hard to see and is just annoying to listen to.

I have a similar problem with Ninja Gaiden 2 for Xbox. I know the game is meant to be freakishly hard, but it's kinda for the wrong reasons (as opposed to the first). You jump into hard mode and the difficulty curve seemingly goes near vertical on the first stage. After a lot of trying, you kinda sorta get over it. Then they make you fight the ninjas that throw exploding kunai. They were mildly annoying on normal mode because the kunai stun you when they tag you outside of your invincibility frames, then explode a few seconds later. The problem is that they still can hit you when you're invincible, so you kinda have to work your entire fight around the explosions. On hard mode, EVERY SINGLE NINJA OF THAT TYPE throws them at you relentlessly, causing unnecessary lag to the game and just making it hard to see what you're doing. On top of that, the "work the entire fight around not getting blown up" part is impossible because there almost literally isn't a moment when you aren't about to be blown up 3 times in a row. They easily become the most deadly enemy in the entire game for all the wrong reasons. They literally interfere with the game's ability to run and your ability to understand what's going on.
