Unless the male is a your actual brother, nobody is your "bro". God I feel dirty for typing that.

Can we stop hi-jacking other cultures stuff? It's irritating, white kids with Afros talking like "fo shizzle mah nizzle" or "yeah, blud. I feel ya homie", just stop trying to be something your obviously not.

I am all for being who you want to be, but somethings just don't suit certain people. I actually think Eminem brings it up in one of his songs, which is just funny.

We don't fit in crackers is out with Cactus albums
Blackness is in, African symbols and medallions
Represents black power and we ain't know what it meant
Me and my man Howard and Butter, we would go to the mall with 'em
All over our necks like we're showing 'em off not knowing at all
We was being laughed at you ain't even half black
You ain't supposed to have that homie let me grab that
And that Flavor Flave clock we gonna have to snatch that

Not talking about a literal brother here, because obviously they can't. But, in the realms of 'brodom,' a bro is one of those guys who'll do anything for you from being your wingman to helping bury a body. Now, everyone knows that a girl could do those things, but does that actually make them your bro? Or do you think that is illegal according to the bro code?
The "bro code" is a bunch of sexist hypocritical nonsense so naturally girls are excluded by default.
Except they're not. nor are girls unable to make sexist hypocritical nonsense. In case you meant either of those.

(I assume you meant the first one)
The message of the bro code is that it's a code of behaviour, it's basically "act like we do or gtfo". Anyone male or female can participate as long as they're willing to compromise their individuality in order to fit in. It's sexist because the norm that the bro crode ascribes is a bunch of very traditionally male values. Women can participate in that, as long as they leave their personal preferences at the door and choose to ascribe to those values as well. There would be a few girls who would have no problems with the 'bro code' but they'd be heavily in the minority.

Bro i'm such a bro that it hurts. One time, I was broing it up with some of my bros, yeah everyone was brofisting everyone else, then we went and brofisted outside the Student Union and we got another group of bros to brofist us to. Then we played Halo Reach (the broist of bro games) and we broed it up online with some of our other bros. We told them we were brofisting and they were sad that they couldn't brofist through XboxLive. So we told them to bring all their bros to a party and we could totally bro it up and brofist everyone at once! They thought the idea was pretty bro, so they got all the bros they knew (which include other female bros) and came over to one of the bro's bromes so we could bro it up bro style. Man we was doing it every which way, we were brofisting, we were bumping our bros, we even had everyone take turns brofisting a new bro to initiate him into our bro-therhood. We must have brofisted till about 4 AM, we'd have broed it up all night if everyone hadn't fallen asleep. So anyways that's how I got hemrroids.

yea, I have girl bros, the only probably is YOU WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO HAVE SEX WITH THEM, so all my girl bro's are chicks that I either wouldn't or couldn't have any sort of relationship with

If you mean, can a girl be your best friend, then yes. I don't see why not. But do yourself a favour and stop reciting lines from a show no one watches.

A hot girl buddy is the best wingman.
This is indeed true. Except when she's a lesbian and tries to steal all my women.

I hate that sometimes.

I've always hated the concept of bros. I would never, ever want to be one. I can't even stand being close to them. Though I think that has more to do with the fact that I don't know of any people who describe themselves as "bros" that aren't total douchebags.

I think 'my girl' is the alternative term to 'my bro' depending what sex you are referring to. I've seen it used in that way a lot, but it's very confusing. Maybe...home girl? xD
I have at least three female friends that I regularly call 'brosephine', I'm sticking with that.

...so, in answer to the OP: yup. Very much so. More so than guys sometimes, particularly if they have hot single friends and are cool with playing wingman.

For what it's worth, I don't have any guys that I'd call 'bro'. Except my brother. I dunno, I guess it's not really a British thing.

I thnk they can. I've had some butch girls be a bro. To me, a "bro" is someone I can be rough with and knock around, while talk about guy stuff. Like, quite literally the one day we were talking about how we would sex a girl into a coma (I know, shut up, thats not all we talk about. usually we talk about stuff like why the letter K needs to exist [think about it]) and my one bra (female bro, and shut up, again) just plopped down and started going into how she'd sex a guy into a coma, then started berating us at our suggestions in a playful way.

So yeha, they can.

Every guy should have a girl-bro. Especially to be a wingwoman to him. So yes, girls can be bros.

edit: according to urbandictionary(a pillar of information) the proper term is ladybro.

A "bro" is actually a homosexual term in modern day America used to refer to a male friend who will happily suck your wang. So yea, i suppose a girl can be a "bro", though they have their own name: "hoe", hence the term "bros before hoes".
Hmmmm...wierd. In Australia and New Zealand, Bro is short for Brother. Then again we also say mate all the time and Americans think we wanna have sex with them or something.

Seriously these culturals discrepancies can be a right pain.
He is full of 'it. Bro means the same thing in America as it does in Australia and New Zealand.
