Not really, they can be good friend as long as they are unattractive, but guys/girls have different preferences in topics so it can't be the same "bro" like connection, it's also alot easier to relate when you are of the same species.

I imagine that it is illegal for a girl to be a brah. Kind of defeats the whole purpose of the hilariously mispronounced word in the first place. But I do admit that there is something funny about the thought of a male calling a girl "brah." Maybe if she's a pre-op transexual, or just a gritty post-op.

My fiancee is pretty much this. Sure there's the relationship thing, but aside from that we're best friends as if we were related, and she is tomboy enough that "bro" can apply in a way. Once you ignore the breasts. Maybe it helps that we've known each other since we were kids.
But yeah, other than intimacy, we're more like brother and sister than what I see in most relationships as "we're sort of friends but we wouldn't see each other if it wasn't for the sex." Sorry if I sound way too jaded, but I'm trying real hard to see more in other couples than this.

I would agree that the ability to check out women is a prerequisite for a 'bro' so being bi or gay is a given.

A girl doesn't have to be gay or bi to be able to tell when another girl is hot. Surely you guys can tell the difference between an ugly guy and attractive guy even if you don't admit it

Not talking about a literal brother here, because obviously they can't. But, in the realms of 'brodom,' a bro is one of those guys who'll do anything for you from being your wingman to helping bury a body. Now, everyone knows that a girl could do those things, but does that actually make them your bro? Or do you think that is illegal according to the bro code?

The "bro code" is a bunch of sexist hypocritical nonsense so naturally girls are excluded by default.

However if what you're asking is if a girl can be your best friend, then the answer is definitely.

Did you not read all the posts mentioning Rule 22. A chick can be a bro, and that is according to the website, and Barney Stinson's "The Bro Code."

And there is nothing sexist about the bro code, unless sexists use it that way.
