Anything can be funny. Especially things that we "shouldn't" be laughing at. Things that people often find the most funny are edgy things that "supposedly" shouldn't be laughed at, such as:
Violence, like slap stick humor. Sickness and illness, such as people making jokes involving cancer. Mental and/or physical disabilities, i.e., being physically handicapped or mentally disabled. Tragedy, like events that cost the lives of 10s or hundreds or thousands of people such as the holocaust, or the overly aggressive suppression of riots and/ or protests.
What I am getting at is that people tend to laugh at pretty much anything that negatively affects other people or at the mistakes and short-comings of others. When you really think about it, is there anything that you can think of that you have laughed at, that didn't involve a person or persons being harmed or wronged in some way or otherwise negatively affected by an unfortunate circumstance, and if not at that, then at one of their short-comings or mistakes? This is what we find funny, and we will often laugh accordingly so long as the thing in question doesn't hit too close to home.
