Does the Pope....no wait. yes I cook. According to people who haven't died from eating my food I cook very well. I used to follow recipes and then slowly learned how to use those to make changes and then into just ignoring and making food that sounded like it should be edible. Eventually I was able to do make food without accidentally killing folks. Oh that day was grand. My chief specialty is a very nice Dorset casserole with cider apples, pork and other accouterments, really is quite delightful. Takes a few hours to cook, but it's light and tastes lovely.

I'm a decent cook without a cookbook and a good one with one. I can bake reasonably well too. I can make some really good filet mignon, biryani and pasta.

Same here. Chocolate chip pancakes ftw!

I was going to say pasta, but I really can't consider it cooking. Boil in pot of water for 8 minutes or so, strain, and done. Unless people get fancy and make their own sauce for it.

Anybody ever seen Chopped? I can do that stuff. after all, I have to be resourceful When it comes to the Jungle that is my fridge. Any one for a bruschetta W/ (fill in the blank)?
However, I like to make Buttermilk Biscuts from scratch W/ homemade biscut gravy. How's that for a hearty breakfast?

I cannot cook at all.
Tried boiling water, come back to check on it and it's gone with a smoking pot.
Cook on stove or in the oven and the fire alarm goes off.
I just stick to doing the dishes.
I've been banned from operating anything that produces fire.

My friend is a professional chef and tried to teach me to cook; didn't work.
So I helped him with a catering gig - epic fail.

I have superior skills in a lot the different areas that most people
don't have a clue about.

Cooking is just a black hole in my brain.

I can and like cooking. I know a lot of dishes. Although some names I only know in Portuguese, here are some of the dishes, Tagliatelli a la Carbonara, Lasagna, Spagheti a la Bholognese. A lot of Italian I know but the others I don't know how to translate.

In a word; no.

At least I'm not as bad as my aunt, though, who once managed to burn a salad.

That fact alone worries me, I dunno about you guys.

Yes. I reviewed some of my cooking once, too.

But the response didn't feed my ego enough, and I was busy, so I abandoned it.

Yes. I'm fine with standard cooking, but whenever I try to experiment a little, I usually overdo it. I'm still practicing, though. *sigh* What I wont do for my future spouse...
