How about this for awesome: There are several different types of infinity, of different sizes. And if you dont believe me I can prove it to you, in about 5 minuets using no complicated ideas or words of more the 3 syllables. Go to http://rebellionkidsblog.blogspot.com/2009/11/respost-why-i-love-maths.html if you want to see the proof, I promise you it's totally true and unbelievably amazing.
Excuse me? You have proof? That's not badass at all! You're supposed to do it like that guy who wrote "I have a truly marvellous proof for this theorem, but the margin isn't big enough to write it", driving people nuts for many years. Now THAT'S badass.

I find algebra and mathematics to be quite fascinating and enjoyable, it's some of the teaching that's dull.

But if you needs ways, try the woman equation Trivium posted, or mention that it's very important in computing, including video games.

When I get bored during my Further Maths homework occasionally, I put on Star Trek and it reminds me of why I took maths in the first place: I wanna go to spaceeee. =D

How can you make a subject that already is not boring, not boring?
Well, I suppose if you teacher talks in one tone and the book as bland as ever. It could be a bit boring. But if your sophomore geometry teacher is D&D player and it would not be a rare day for her to wipe out her D20 or Monty Python. It's the best class of the day! She was awesome. My Algebra 2 and Trig teacher can be a bit...meh at times. But makes up for it when he squirts water on people that aren't listening

I don't know too many people who actually like math.
Well add two to your list, Manaman and me =D

Y= 16
M = 10
O = 5
X = 3
A = 1.5
F = 0.5
(Blank) = 0.175

Work out the following and convert into an equivalent Algebra equation

1 + 5 + 10 =
0.5 * 3 =
5 / 3 =
(1.5 + 0.5) * 5 =
(10 / 3) * (1.5 + 0.50) =
(16 * 0.5) + 3 - (1.5 - 0.5) =

Plus, i hope you zetta enjoy.

Make Gordon Freeman teach it...
Nah he'd be a physics teacher. And it would be hard to teach it, being he's a mute and all.
But then again...Gordon Freeman makes everything even a bit better then it was so yeah. It would be awesome!

Separate the numbers and letters into different groups with wildly varying socio-economic statuses and then make a sitcom/documentary about it.

Yes, but mathematics are a staple of physics, so it would still count.

Algebra doesn't need to be made awesome, it already is. However for other people I suppose a good way to make it more interesting would be to get free booze for every eqn solved.
