...So just in case you can't get your hands on a good weapon you can lend one my swords." William said, offering a treaty and resolution.

Claire stared at William, burying her feelings on the matter. Though she did not enjoy his presence in the least - he being a constant reminder of both the worst kind of commander and her own intolerable weakness - she was forced to admit that he was the groups commanding officer, he had won their duel for right of action in regards to the matter of duty, and if nothing else, a constant argument would only serve to distract from her duty. That said, she would not accept unneeded charity unless she had no other choice - such charity was to be saved for the people truly in need. As such, she decided upon accepting the olive branch, though rebuking the offer of a blade.

"Thank you for the offer commander, but I am trained in fencing; your short stout blades are precisely the type of blade I have no measure of skill in. Such a blade would be as useful to me in combat as a shovel, and the later at least has the prerequisite length. So, unless you happen to have a rapier stored away somewhere, I fear I must inquire inside the shop. None the less, I wish to impress upon you that it is a most gracious offer, Commander." she said, striking a formal military stance. She had accepted his peace offering, though her face betrayed her lack of real forgiveness by its emotionless state throughout the conversation, this conclusion aided and confirmed by her insistence on formal address.

I have no idea why I'm going with such an over the top 1800's English gentleman style, but it's proving to be quiet fun... and difficult to escape even in OOC

So, unless you happen to have a rapier stored away somewhere, I fear I must inquire inside the shop. None the less, I wish to impress upon you that it is a most gracious offer, Commander." Though her face and attitude betrayed what she really felt.

William was at least happy that she acted to have forgiven him. though he would wonder where the short blades remark cam from. Maybe his new blade wasn't that big but he generally used longword's. That is when it hit him he had been using blade 1 all this time while he generally used blade 2 the longsword. Well that was something to show to them in the next fight.
"Well I am happy that we managed to work things out between us. And I hope that they sell rapiers in the shop, but sadly enough they probably won't sell them. Rapiers are weapons of the elite, so that is why they are not sold in most common stores. But I do hope that you get lucky and find one. However should you not be this lucky my offer still stands." William smiled at her hiding his emotions as he walked past her, heading back toward the horses. He still needed to make an scabbard out of something if he wanted to carry his new sword with him. He ignored his 2 other traveling companions and their stares. All he said as he passed them was "Hello."

"...However should you not be this lucky my offer still stands." William said, before departing. Claire saluted with a short "Commander" in tow. Her duty required her to obey his orders and their duel honor bound her to the same. The did not however require her to do much of anything else for him, and no proper closing befitting his more noble rank would follow.

When he was finally out of sight, Claire returned to her task, heading into the general store to learn if their local blacksmith had crafted an "elite" weapon, and put it up for sale. When she entered, she found herself face-to-face with a Hansav merchant. She was somewhat surprised to find a Hansav within human lands, but then the borderlands were known for such mingling. None the less, it was not an unpleasant surprise - he was easily better then the last merchant she had bumped into, not seconds ago. "Excuse me good sir; might I inquire as to what weapons you have for sale?" she asked, remaining more polite then tradition would require, in part as a sign of freedom from her current... annoyance.

Rias was still 'playing with her powers' more or less when Mr Bom got back, she looked up, then looked in the direction he was pointing "who knows, why, something up?" asked before William came into ear shot, she waved and dissolved the orb she'd been working on into mist and tucked it away in a bottle

William had made an improvised scabbard for his new sword it didn't look half bad, but then again it wasn't even close to his bought scabbards. He turned around to his 2 other companions they looked kind of bored. He saw the new places written on the map. "Well that is very impressive Rias. Thank you for updating the map." William smiled as he began looking at all the new places she had written down. It looks like they are bored. Maybe i should invite them to go to the tavern? Is there enough time for that?

After running through the General Goods store, and the other stores too. Fromanzio finally headed to the blacksmith's shop and flung the door open. Not finding them there he returned to the horses. There they were and Fromanzio said "Alright boys and girls. I hope you all are ready to go. A big little birdie told Fromanzio that bad things are going down. Mission is too important, big little birdie will probably die."

Part of Fromanzio wanted to help Rook. He had admired his work oh so. Mission always has to go above friends and coworkers though, Fromanzio was still disappointed he never got an answer as to where he could get bombs.

"Thank you for updating the map."

"no problem" Rias said with a lite smile, "so ... is there something going on with you and Claire?" she asked with the subtlety of a trolls fist to the face

"no problem" Rias said with a little smile, "so ... is there something going on with you and Claire?" William looked at her with his best fake surprised expression. "Not as far as I know. Why?" William looked at her with an interested expression on his face. His newest sword also known as sword 3 needed to be tested before actually being used in the field... Maybe he could practice with someone later.

Then Fromanzio walked toward them and said. "Alright boys and girls. I hope you all are ready to go. A big little birdie told Fromanzio that bad things are going down. Mission is too important, big little birdie will probably die." William looked at Fromanzio with an suspicious look. "So who is this birdie?"

"So who is this birdie?"

Fromanzio highly doubts it would matter, but the leader would not know of him. He is in the same profession as Fromanio and if he is nervous, then perhaps we aught to get moving. Or we could fight it, Fromanzio has not yet grown tired of blowing people up."

William still did not trust Fromanzio, probably better off that way. Easier for when the dirty deed has to be done later.

Rias gave Fromanzio a funny look "YOU, want to avoid trouble? seems rather out of character for you, given your 'explode first don't bother with questions' policy"

Considering what he had just heard from Fromanzio he decided it was best to skip town. They didn't have any reason to stay longer anyway. "I think it would be best if we tried to avoid combat as much as possible. And there is nothing important that we still have to do in the village so... I think we should leave. Okay one of you has to go get Claire, the other ones are coming with me to prepare the horses for the road." The truth was that William would rather just stay away from Claire. So being able to send people was quite handy. And if even Fromanzio was worried something was really wrong so they needed to leave fast.

"I'll go get Claire" Rias said, heading for the general store.

Rias ran up to the general store, quickly finding her "yo, Cliare, we gotta go"

Rias saw the collection of swords, and considered it, given the mission and her own limitations she'd been thinking about picking up a weapon as a back up plan, she gave an awkward grin "unless your willing to part with an average long sword for like,5 silver or so, it's likely out of my price range" she said trying to be polite about how broke she was at the moment "anyway, Claire, we need to move out, so wrap it up"

Claire looked up from her blade shopping as Rias commented on being time to leave. "What's so important we need to leave now?" Claire thought, a confused look on her face, before answering her concern. "If you need a weapon, I think William has a spare; you could always borrow one of his. Or, I could loan you the money - we both benefit if you have a weapon I think." Claire said, giving her traveling companion some advice.

Seeing Rias's choice in weapon, Claire grabbed it; adding it to her purchases. She then grabbed a scabbard and whetstone to finish Rias's aid. [i/]"This is going to be expensive"[/i] Claire thought, glancing at the small armory now on the table. It was still within her means, but there would be no further resupply on food from her until they reached human lands where she could requisition additional funds. She threw the small bag of required currency on the table, and the newly acquired equipment to Rias.

Returning to the blades, she quickly grabbed the best looking long-sword - a blade that was about the same length as her Rapier had been, but thicker and heavier. It wasn't ideal; but then any blade was better then no blade, and no blade was better then William's blade. She held the sword, testing the balance - again, not perfect, but it at least was blade heavy to she could fix the problem by adding more weight to the hilt.

Reaching down, she grabbed an appropriate scabbard and asked the merchant his price. Considering Rias's timing, Claire was certain the asking price was inflated, but there was little she could do to haggle - her time was now obviously limited, giving him the negotiating advantage. She put the named amount of coinage upon the table - likely twice the actual value of the blade, then exited the store.

Turning once more to Rias as they ran to the horses, Claire asked "So what's the rush?"

Rias was some what floored by Claire's generosity, and accepted, but promised to pay her back once she had the time to earn the money

as they exited Rias bought her up to speed "Fromanzio bumped in to a 'business associate' whom suggested to Fromanzio 'we leave sooner rather then later' and when Fromanzio thinks twice about an opportunity to blow some one up, it's probably in our best interest to do the same"

Claire could only raise an eyebrow at the statement. Someone managed to make Fromanzio back down... that is something strange" she thought, barely comprehending it. It only took her a moment to pivot on her feet and return to the first stand she had visited - she was honor bound to at least warn the town that something bad was about to occur; did they not deserve the same chance they had?

Fromanzio was getting nervous, this was taking too long. They had to get moving and he knew the way Rias was going. "Fromanzio is going to go ahead and find the duo to make sure we get moving."

Fromanzio ran faster than most olympic sprinters and very quickly caught up to the duo. "Oh good, you two are coming, hurry we must leave before whatever it is happens. For while Fromanzio will mourn the loss of his birdie, he would more mourn himself. Come now, come come!"

Bom looked over at the commotion. Fromanzio was (unusually) agitated, and he seemed keen to leave. Bom wasn't terribly worried, but he was curious. The sight of Fromanzio, shooing people along was enough for him to start shuffling nervously. What was going on?

William walked back to see Claire and Fromanzio arguing about something. He walked over to his fighting teammates. "What are you 2 fighting about?" He had listened to Fromanzio before, but he was already beginning to doubt his decision. If something bad was to happen wasn't it their objective as soldiers to try and protect the civilians? And he wanted to talk to this contact of Fromanzio to find out what was about to happen.
