At the moment, I could not sleep if my life depended on it. It's almost 3 AM where I am right now, but I'm as awake as I would be at 3 the afternoon.

Anyone have some sleeping tips for me so I'm not falling asleep in my classes today?

Get off the computer and go for a run. Clears your head, you probably won't get to sleep but at least you got some exercise (at 3 in the morning).

Lay down.
I'm doing so at the moment, on my laptop. I've tried turning it off and just lieing down in the dark multiple times, but nothing seems to work.

Listen to Maggot Brain by Funakdelic (song)/Division Bell by Pink Floyd (album)/ In the Land of Pink and Grey by Caravan (album). I'm not suggesting these will put you to sleep but they'll at least put you in the right frame of mind for sleep afterwards.

While this works very well, i'd suggest you put on some soft music really quite and just relax. You know how to relax right?

When i can't sleep i put on Sheiks Theme really faint and i about playing an instrument. Works every time.

EDIT: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA I quoted the "unedited" version of Spazztic's post. Nice edit man. lol.

Make sure you're comfortable. If you lay on your back, put a pillow under your knees, or put one between your knees if you lay on your side. Try doing some situps or tensing every muscle in your body then releasing them one by one.

If all else fails, run to the drug store and pick up some melatonin.

Sleep is for the weak. You aren't weak, are you?

A few beers usually helps the process though when I have to be subjected to the horrific inconvenience.

Read a book/comic, play a little game that require some brains.
Mental stuff mostly makes me sleep

Sleeping Pills?

I usually just lie in bed untill i fall asleep, takes about 30 minutes to an hour...

It sucks but its still worth it

I say juts wait in bed, turn off al lthe light and your brain and just lie there, get comforatable and wait.

Trust me beers won't help me. I was totally wasted yesterday afternoon, and don't even know how I'm not passed out right now.

This is what I do when I'm in your position (As I currently am, coincidentally.) I pull a Morpheus and clear my mind of all things whilst laying down. That puts me in a calm, relaxed state of mind and I drift off into sleep.

And if you either sleep on your back or side, it magnifies the relaxing comfort it brings.

Benadryl also kicks my ass a good deal.

But you know when all else fails, Ambien is the easy out. Just don't try and stay awake on it because you'll wake up the next day realizing you did a ton of crap you can't remember. Yes, amnesia like hell my friend.
