Coming from a Capcom fan myself I'll address the issues in the image provided that most affect me:

Mega Man Legends 1/2 Not coming to US:

Honestly, so fucking what? You know how many copies of MML1/2 were purchased in the US combined? 560,000 total between 2 games.

Legends 1: 390,000 (830,000 worldwide)
Legends 2: 170,000 (420,000 worldwide)

Source: vgchartz.com

If I were Capcom I wouldn't spend the money to localize it either.

Mega Man Legends 3 Canceled:

More or less same reasons as above. I simply think more people are bitching about it than actually planned on purchasing it. Remember, this was around the same time UMvC3 was announced and a shit load of people were pissed about that.
Considering the fact that I saved up money to buy both and noone had them for months(had to buy them used), I think its safe to say that Capcom just didn't ship enough then blames poor sales on the fact that they were just too stupid and lazy to ship more. The same can be said for AAI2 they say its because Okamiden sold better than AAI but guess what? Both Best Buys and all 4 Gamestops in my area still have copies of Okamiden, only one Gamestop had ever had a copy of AAI.

So I ask this: How the hell can you blame poor sales when you don't even make enough copies to justify sales at all?

Also, the canning of MML3 and the announcement of UMvC3 really looked like "We're gonna cancel original titles so we can make a quick buck rereleasing a title that hasn't even been out for 6 months." Tell me that dosen't sound like a dick move.

Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3:

God, you know.. *sigh*... Everyone KNEW this was coming. Seriously, MvC3 wasn't very good and patches weren't gunna fix that shit okay? Capcom doesn't make these JUST to grab you money, they make them because of the new content and MAJOR FIXES FOR PROFESSIONAL TOURNAMENTS DEMANDED BY THE PROFESSIONALS.

For fucks sake, they sell them 20-25 bucks cheaper from the original release. They know they're releasing the same game with minor updates and content and add a adjective to the title, they're not hiding it and charging you 59.99 and come out yearly like, oh I don't know CALL OF DUTY, ROCK BAND, GUITAR HERO, NEED FOR SPEED, EA SPORTS TITLES, etc.
Actually, buying UMvC3 works out as a better deal than them having released it all as DLC even if you bought both it and MvC3 full price. If they'd had some big public press conference or announcement showing that you'd save something like $20-$60 depending on your purchasing history with it.

One thing I do have a problem with them for though is their treatment of Ace Attorney international releases. I can totally understand us not getting the soundtracks, a lot of the merchandise or DVDs of the musicals and I'm so glad the movie is getting an international release and Wright made it into UMvC3 and the original trilogy & Ghost Trick have got iOS releases, but why aren't we getting AAI2 or AA vs Professor Layton?

Layton games sell HUGE over here and they're clearly interested in marketing Wright abroad, it could really help boost his profile. It's also Level-5's most requested international release and just the other day they announced a different game was getting an international release.

And Capcom? Look at Atlus. They sell almost 100% of their catalogue internationally, and they're firmly niche titles. They do limited runs based on demand. DO THAT. Ace Attorney fans are incredibly loyal and more than willing to show that with their wallets. Hell, you could just do an iOS or digital 3DS release, or only release enough to cover however many people will pre-order a copy.

And Megaman fans, I feel for you, I really do. Now I know what it's like to have a gig time publisher jerk you around with a franchise you love. My heart goes out to you. Here's hoping Capcom stops trolling you guys.
They could also do what Atlus did with Radiant Historia. Ask if a reprint is worth it.

Personally i fail to see Capcom as a Japanese Activision. For one thing among many others thier games are much better than Activision's and are much more varied.

Devil May Cry Reboot:

Yes, it's upsetting to see what they have done (and what they tried to explain). But DMC was in need of a refresh. Blame Ninja Theory though, it's not Capcom's fault. If anything, Capcom did what they had to business wise when the hate came; Stand by their decision and developer.
[HEADING=1]OBJECTION![/HEADING]

CAPCOM wanted the change in order to raise the visibility of DMC, to let everyone know about it in a short space of time. Ninja Theory's original designs were actually said to be faithful to Dante's original designs, but CAPCOM said that they had to be different, completely different, so Ninja Theory gave us this and CAPCOM loved it.

(SOURCE)
In addition Capcom have stated that if the game bombs sales-wise then they will transfer the DMC licence back to Shinji Mikami for a true DMC sequel, prequel or midquel or whatever.

Its not really a good reason to want the game to fail, i do want it to do well, but if it doesnt then it reverts then fans get what fans want.

WHAT? THE? FUCK?

I don't get it. Was there a demand for this?
It just came out last week in Japan in theatres. The director wants to do a worldwide release but knowing Capcoms current attitude towards AA fans...

Spelling Errors, that is inexusable.
I am not trying to be a dick about this, but someone else might. Suggest fixing 'inexcusable' before smartarses start posting trollfaces. Aside from that, you made some solid points and I think OP is overreacting.

Are you kidding me? Hell, yes! I've been excited about this for months. And it's by Takashi Miike, son.

the fan interaction is the worst ever seen. they don't support their games at all after launch, so when a game is released and there is a problem, sucks to be you.

i think the best example that shows how much they just don't care for their fans is the mega man add fro streetfighter x tekken. many fans begged for mega man as a character in mvsc3, instead we only got costums and zero (who was a cool add). because the fans weren't happy with that, they said: "you want mega man? here is your mega man!!" which we now know is the adding of bad box art megaman for the sony version of streetfighter X tekken. bigger middle fingers aren't given.

Well, how about this:

They no longer have Megaman
They gave away Devil may Cry
They won't port over many of their decent games that fans actually want
They refuse to do anything with their neat franchises like Dark Stalkers, Star Gladiator, Breath of Fire, etc.

This company has nothing, and I mean NOTHING to offer people anymore. Just like with Rare, we are watching a game company enact seppuku right before our eyes. This is History, people.

I brought a table. Now our corner has a table.
I can find no faults with the game design, except I wish they hadn't regionalized the american release. What was gained by making it take place in America? And bento boxes are NOT spaghetti dinners... As with the three Mega Man Legends games, I would gladly pay for english, non-regionalized copies. With the recent success of raising 2 million for a new point and click game from Double Fine (I think), I feel like it's possible for Capcom to produce more niche games. Petitions mean diddly, but if they can set up a system for people to commit to pre-paying for ports, I feel like we could see more of those Japanese exclusive goodies we all want. They know how much they need to earn to make the effort worthwhile, and I see no disadvantage to them telling us how much they need and putting the ball in our court.

OT: I never really liked capcom to begin with... sure there games are alright but the only one that was worth anything to me was the first megaman legends (never played the second) and cancelling the third was a dick move. So....yeah to me Capcom is just a company i don't care about anymore.

Am I the only one who does not care that much if some of those games are not released on Sony's systems? (Sorry for being a Nintendo "fanboy"). Nonetheless, I do agree with all of the complaints made this thread. Poor Megaman.

to be honest, i'd been willing to give this 'DMC ... thing' a fair shake if Ninja Theory hadn't been a bunch of cunts to whole time about it.

as for Capcom on the whole, they kinda don't want my money.

they've effectively KILLED every IP of theirs i LIKED

Break of Fire
Dark Stalkers
Mega Man

all ether in limbo or canceled by the retards running Capcom, all in favor of milking a lame, unbalanced 2d fighter -.-

Ashura's Wrath is a good step, but ... no PC release, so I'm not gonna play it, not really worth buying a PS3 again for 1 game ya know.

so yeah, at this point, from the bottom of my heart

Capcom, go,fuck,your,self

Capcom could and can still be good they just need to start making good business decisions again which at the moment what they are doing so far from that.

i'm sour at them for not releasing any new Breath of fire Games. They're some of my all time fav games. They don't need to make a giant triple A game but make a few old school type versions and I'd be so happy.

Calumon, I grew up playing Mega-man and love him too. But since its creator Keiji Inafune already left the company. Capcom will milk the Mega-man franchise dry. To further add salt to the wounds they have the nerve to add the ugly box art mega-man to the roaster of Tekken X Capcom.
Actually, Capcom asked what version of Megaman Keiji Inafune wanted, and he specifically stated he wanted Bad Box Art Megaman. Whether or not the Volnutt backstory thing involved him I don't know. Personally, I love BB Megaman.

I'll join you, but in all fairness, I didn't like AAI as much as all the other titles in the series (yes, I even preferred Apollo Justice to it...), but still, it's Edgeworth. Who can complain about more of him? <3

Am I the only person who liked both of the Lost Planet games? I'm pretty sure I grew up on Capcom, and in most cases they can still do no wrong by my eyes. To be honest though, I'm at the end of my rope. If Operation Raccoon City and RE6 tanks, then I might have to let CC go.

I can forgive a company for anything if they create a logo that looks like a man sucking off a giraffe.

It's baffling me on how few people talk about how badly they treated Okami through Okamiden. Maybe because hardly anyone played the game long enough to tell, but whatever. They cocked it up badly, and worse than any spelling mistake. It may not be on the box, but some of this was seen in promo material and trailers. It proves that Okamiden was there to cash in on Okami's cult classic status. For example, these three things are fucked up IN THE SAME PROMO CUTSCENE! Here, this is only 1 minute long and you see it all. [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJxU9kZWQoI]

1. Ammy/Shiranui's sex was hinted at being female in the original game. In Japanese, from what I'm told, they don't have gender-specific pronouns (him, her, etc). In this game, they call Shiranui a MALE! REPEATEDLY! According to my friend who plays the Japanese version, it doesn't affect it. Still, that's a terrible translation job when you can't get the sex of a main character in a beloved game right. It's not like "mother to us all" was some cryptic message in the original that was only said once or twice in the 30+ hour epic.

2. Shiranui is Ammy's "past self", so technically they are the same character. The only time they're seen together is when they faff about in the past. Well, it seems like Capcom was asleep during that time and saw that there were two wolves named Shiranui and Ammy. So now in Okamiden, they're treated as different characters *slow clap*. This isn't a translation error by the way.

3. Chibi (the pup in Okamiden) never had his past explained. One of the major plotholes in the game, but something worse happens. Early in the game, Issun assumes Ammy is Chibi's mom...somehow. Now back to Shiranui. Again, this is NOT a translation error. Shiranui claims to be Chibi's GRANDFATHER. Why Shiranui would even know this is beyond me, but MAN! If it was written in betterI could believe Shiranui was Chibi's grandmother (even though the game doesn't hint at all at Shiranui or Ammy having any children). I've heard that they could mean an "incarnation" as opposed to being a sexual "birth", but they could've made that a lot clearer. I mean, Issun at one time (if I remember correctly) wondered who Chibi's father was.

Of course there are the plotholes, the story feeling dead, how little the story is about Chibi, Ammy, Waka, or previously loved characters, and many other continuity issues with the previous games. The picture is the same though. Capcom doesn't care about Okami. Simple. Okamiden is proof. Many fans consider the game to be 100% non-canon.

Thanks!

What has been seen cannot be unseen O.O

OT: Okay, lately they've been making stupid decisions *cough*All dat SF and nothing else*cough* and *wheeze*DMC Reboot. However, I still play the crap out of Lost Planet 2 (loved the first one) and are eagerly looking forward to Dragon's Dogma and Operation Raccoon City. So, I still have faith, they'll have to screw up pretty bad for me to hate them. Gonna sound like a hypocrite, but I'll be getting the new DmC, I'll just pretend it's not a DMC game...I would have if they stuck with 'it's an origin story'.
