I wouldn't since gas would run out quick. Might as well get used to walking, or get a bicycle.
Exactly. Though I'd love to drive around some sort of muscle car. Maybe a Chevy Impala. It'd be awesome.

Oh yeah, I'd be all over an Italian sports car for a few months.

Of course, after a few weeks or months, all the gasoline would gel and be unusable. Everyone would be out of gas before a year was out.
Unless of course you have dashing engineer on your side. :D

Who's "dashing engineer"? And how would he/she save my fuel?

You'll probably be better off with a diesel since gasoline will go stale after a while and chances are you wouldn't know how to work a oil refinery. With diesel you might be able to make your own bio diesel from scratch.

This car obviously, how could it not be the immediate choice. I do hope people realise where it is from.
Atleast put the a picture of the REAL interceptor up, no some guys dodge rip-off lol

It doesn't have the body kit on it, and the hood scoops are not in the right spot, and I think (think being a key word, I am probably wrong about this last point) that car looks like an XC (might not even be that) not a XB GT.

But yes, the interceptor "last of the V8's" would be in my top 5 picks for post apoc car... mind you will need to find a blue heeler to go with it XD

As for all of you guys who are worrying about gas, you could always just catch a crazy gyro-captain out in the wastes who'll lead you to an enclave where they're pumping it, refining it they are...

Or you could do what I mentioned earlier by getting a car with a carburetor and rig up a wood gas system [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Ag6LoqcVsM] and power your car with trees.

I've been told that some cars can get a 1000km on a single cubic meter of wood!

Cars? How would you traverse the apocalypse in a car?
preferably those very big low ones with the high steers that are iconic for those big men with leather jackets, big round sunglasses and visorless helmets. Awesome moustache optional.

Combine that with Hellrider in the background:

There's no other way!

You're all crazy. Gasoline is expensive now. And after the first year your car would be useless because Gasoline has a shelf life before it goes bad of, don't quote me on this number, something like 8 months.

I'd get a really sturdy mountain bike. Gotta stay in shape for the apocalypse anyway.

Land Rover Defender without a doubt. People who drive them pre-apocalypse really annoy me but after doomsday, it's fair game. I'd run it on vegetable oil that I'd get from post-doomsday magic of some kind.

Assuming I could run a car. Probably a fully decked out old Army jeep. They never die.

If not Im also witht he idea of a mountain bike.

Exactly, that's why we have to use it while it lasts!

After a year, after the mutant-wilderbeasts have adapted themselves to eat rocks instead of the scarce human flesh, I can pick up the mountain bike of some guy who wasn't fast enough to escape one of them while they still ate humans.

I believe it is the car from 2. The shiny one from mad max 1 is the one you are remembering i think. Although I may be wrong I probably am.

Edit: Just rewatched the movie, yeah that one in the pic is a remake. Still looks close enough to the one from 2 though to get the point across.
