Nope, it is the same car used in both movies, they just modified the car a bit for the 2nd movie. The also made a duplicate for the driving sequences and the heart breaking scene towards the end. The original is still intact, even though it had to be restored. Ive seen the original when it was at birdwood motor museum before it was shipped off to England. So yeah I am 100% that picture isn't the original (also the interceptor also doesn't have indicator lights on it) which is also how I know the car isn't an XB GT as the indicators are placed inside the front bumper. Seriously, I know I am right, I had a big thing for that car in my teens LOL.Layz92 said:I believe it is the car from 2. The shiny one from mad max 1 is the one you are remembering i think. Although I may be wrong I probably am.Acaroid said:Atleast put the a picture of the REAL interceptor up, no some guys dodge rip-off lol
It doesn't have the body kit on it, and the hood scoops are not in the right spot, and I think (think being a key word, I am probably wrong about this last point) that car looks like an XC (might not even be that) not a XB GT.
But yes, the interceptor "last of the V8's" would be in my top 5 picks for post apoc car... mind you will need to find a blue heeler to go with it XD
Edit: Just rewatched the movie, yeah that one in the pic is a remake. Still looks close enough to the one from 2 though to get the point across.
