As much as I enjoy driving, I couldn't care any less about what I was actually driving in. As long as the engine starts and it gets me where I need to go i'm happy. I've got better things to spend my money on!

I currently own an 2008 Alfa Romeo 159 Sportwagon TI.
It has a 1.9litre turbo diesel (JTDM) engine producing 150HP.

Love this car so much!
Say what you will about the Italians, but they do know how to make a sexy automobile!
Yes, the seats are really nice to sit in.

I have a love/hate relationship with cars. I love mine & love to drive, but I hate all the other idiots on the road that can't follow basic traffic rules. Oh & working on a busted hunk of crap car is so very annoying.

Anyway my first ride was a 1984 Ford Mustang.

Sadly mine wasn't the GT, but I still managed to push the needle past the numbers, the speedometer only went up to 90mph I had to be doing closer to 110. I loved that pile of junk, it would start to overheat if I pushed it much past 60mph, but it was still so much fun to drive.

My current vehicle is a 1995 Dodge Dakota. This is my actual truck, busted turn signal light & all. Damn icy roads.
I've had this thing for about 12 years now, it's pushing 250,000 miles & still going strong. It's a smaller truck, but it has a V8 engine in it. I've left sports cars sitting at the green light in this thing. So good at burnouts too.

I am eventually going to have to get something new & as others have mentioned above I too am a fan of the EVO 8, such an awesome car. I'll probably get something more practical though.

I'm a fan of Subarus. Currently, I've got a 1998 Impreza Wagon

Looks kinda like that only mine is a POS.

I'm going to buy a 2003 Impreza RS sedan.

It's basically an engine away from being a WRX, but I don't need that and it's already damned fun to drive so I'll just use it as a daily driver that doesn't get stuck in small amounts of snow.

I drive a 2013 Audi A3 named "Mitsubishi Diamante". I have chosen this car for use due to its hatchback nature and the fact that my small self can see over the dashboard to actually drive it. That's about it, really. I'm not a car person, but this is my favorite vehicle that I've owned as most of my previous ones were too big and weren't very reliable.

I'm totally not jealous or anything. That isn't what my dream drive looks like or anything. Nope.

I love cars. I love my car. A 1998 BMW 323i SE - acceleration is pants due to wide gearing but once it's on a roll it keeps on pushing. It also sticks to the road in corners like a Republican sticks to his guns - literally!

To my great pride, I had a short column published in my local rag paper about enjoying motoring when you can despite the massive costs involved.

There is no sweeter sound than a 1960's / 1970's American V8 at full chat...add a Supercharger into the mix and you can pretty much guarantee I will wet myself. That said you don't need a tank with an engine nicked from a 747 to have fun - the most fun I ever had in a car was thrashing a Caterham 7 around a circuit. I was drenched in sweat at the end as it was more a wrestling match with the steering wheel than actual driving and, going on my footwork on the pedals, Michael Flatley was waiting to snap me up but IT WAS FUN!!!!

Seriously tho I don't want to drive, it's too scary and I got no common sense. My favorite car has always been the Evolution Lancer though.
Its seems scary if youve never driven before but you soon get the hang of it

Which EVO is your favourite ive always had a soft spot for the EVO VIII. How they can get 3-400 bhp from a 2 litre turbo is just wizardry.
I, too, am scared of driving. Not because of not having the hang of it or being unfamiliar with it but rather because everyone I know in my life who has died (3 people so far) has been because of auto/motorcycle accidents or from health complications stemming from previous accidents.

I myself have been in about 4 accidents and was only a passenger in every one of them. I seriously fear the guilt I'd have to live with if I were the actual driver in an accident that caused someone's death (assuming I survived of course).

I'm continually amazed by how much we're trying to ban guns here in the U.S. but doing so very little to make cars, and travel, safer. We have the biggest military budget in the world but our roads are falling apart, our bridges collapsing. Heaven forbid we spend a bit less on trying to "fix" other countries and instead spend a bit more on fixing our own.

Cue the team america theme song.

Never been a huge fan of the 'stang (or muscle cars) mainly because they just dont belong in britain. If i lived in america id have one in a heartbeat but over here they just dont work. Perhaps its because our roads are more windy and narrow so small nimble performance hatchbacks are what we perfer over sheer power whereas america has a lot of straight roads and drag racing between lights is a big deal.

Harleys have the same problem, they are just too american. Again choppers dont really fit in over here and performance bikes (ninjas and fireblades) are infinitely more popular and better looking and just more awesome

That is an awesome driveway nonetheless. Like I said its not my cup of tea but its impressive and the 5.0 stangs are all 6-speed manual (as far as im aware?) so at least you dont drive an auto like most of your country

Give me a highly tuned 2 litre turbo with a dump valve any day of the week over a big supercharged V8.

Youll be hard pushed to find a more fun car than a little caterham 7. They are just a man-sized go-kart.

I have to agree a big engine in a car isnt always the best. A small car with a smaller tuned engine is a lot lighter and you can chuck it about a lot. My 2.0 (non turbo) clio weighs 1.1 (ish) tons and has as near as damn it 200bhp. Its by no means the fastest car but its quick of the mark, its loves being revved (all the way to 8000rpm), its grippy and it loves being thrown around. Probably pound for pound one of (if not) the most fun cars you can drive

That one is an 6 speed auto, but my next Mustang will be manual. I regret ever buying automatic, but since it was my first ever vehicle purchase, I can forgive myself.

Despite what you may think, that car is incredibly nimble. The steering is very tight and responsive and having 412 horses under the hood allows me to haul ass when I feel the need. I've topped it out at 148 mph.

Me and vehicles have a love hate relationship. Granted I take care of my car as I paid for it and would like it to last me a good 15 years or so.

There is nowhere I need to go where I can't walk. So I don't have a car. There kind of pointless in my day to day life.

I enjoy cars a lot. Put in some good sound systems in there and maybe a sub (Like I have), and the drive can be even better! My car is a little 2000 Honda Civic. Basic entry level car, but it runs well (Only 115k kilometers when I got it) and has *almost* enough power for me. Just wish it was a bit stronger at highway speeds. Beside that, I love it~

For those who even care, my fave car has to be the 2005 BMW M3 GTR. Ya know, the one in Need For Speed Most Wanted? (The first one, not the shit one)

Each to their own and I do like the old Ford RS Cosworths. A former colleague had a Sierra Cossie with an RS500 Tickford lump tuned to 500bhp+ which was officially rated as being "utterly bonkers!" I loved it!

Youll be hard pushed to find a more fun car than a little caterham 7. They are just a man-sized go-kart.
They'd be hell to drive day-to-day but for 15 glorious laps I was in petrolhead heaven! Considering it stood out on a day I also drove a 400bhp Supercharged Jaguar XKR (among other things) in race trim is a pretty big win for Caterham!

I'd had nothing but loathing for every Clio I ever drove until I was put in the drivers seat of a race-prepped Clio Cup. It was noisy, the steering wheel was on the wrong side but it was a riot; a real hoot to chuck about and it exploded every time I floored the fun-pedal.

I need to do another track day!

I don't have a car but I have a 125cc Suzuki Marauder to get me around. Lovely little bike. Comfy, good looking and easy to handle. My only problem with it is the weight and sluggish top speed of 65mph. Though even getting that fast is a struggle as the engine just runs out of grunt at about 55mph.

Definitely a good learners bike. When the time comes for me to get a new bike I might just get the 250cc sister bike. More power, more speed, less fuel efficiency but still not beyond my meagre budget.

They are fun on the road. They dont have too much power but its enough to make everyday driving reasonable but you still have enough power and handling to have a load of fun

or our trusted donkey (diesel)
Well I wouldn't call it a donkey

2.0Tdi Ibiza FR remapped to 180Bhp. It worries cars that should be a lot faster but returns 60Mpg. Saying that I came from a 1.9Tdi VRS

My last two cars have been work horses for the daily commute that return good fuel mileage but when I want to be a bit heavy on the loud pedal they give as good as they get.

I am definitely a petrolhead, unfortunately due to the amount of travel I do I couldn't go for the RS version but here is my beautiful girl...

And that signature Megane ass

[http://s285.photobucket.com/user/DevotedSniper/media/Megane/20140413_131720_zps63a611ba.jpg.html]

And finally the day she went for her performance remap, 163bhp and 55-63mpg who can complain at that?

[http://s285.photobucket.com/user/DevotedSniper/media/Megane/20131223_150436_zps2ea9c17b.jpg.html]

Specs below;
* 3D Surround Sound Bose System with Aux in and Bluetooth phone controls
* Cruise Control
* Dual Climate Control
* ABS, ESP, Emergency brake assist (and prediction), and many other so called safety features
* Traction Control (has an off button...turns back on after 25mph though, oh well it hasn't come on yet and I've done some pushing)
* Half Leather interior & Leather Sports Steering Wheel
* Keyless Entry/Locking and start
* Auto Lights/Wipers
* Lowered 12mm compared to the standard model (factory OEM)
* Parking Sensors (needed due to the tiny rear window, don't seem to work though, might need sensitivity turning up)
* Privacy Glass
* So many airbags it could be turned into a bouncy castle
* blah blah blah blah, basically it has everything minus the sat nav and heated seats.

Definitely love driving her, she drives like a petrol, throws you into the back of your chair when boost kicks in, sticks to the road like glue and the minute you put your foot down slightly your gone (as in you go from 30 to 60 in 3-5 seconds in 4th).

The end goal is to get her to a minimum of 200bhp while keeping that 50+mpg and no dirty diesel smoke, which means bigger injectors, turbo, intercooler, etc.

Next mod awaiting install is water methanol injection.

I don't own a car myself because at the moment I really don't need one and couldn't justify the cost of one when I don't need one. I do have a bike though. On the day I don't own a bike I'm gonna turn in my man-card, chop my genitalia off and jump from the window.

This is 1992 Honda Transalp XL600V PD06. It just passed the road safety inspection after I spent about a week up to my elbows in it. The words "FUCKING JAPANESE!!!" were uttered.

Beyond this pretty much everything in my life revolves around mobility in general and cars especially since I am studying automotive engineering and am waist deep immersed in everything about that.
