What you have to remember really, is that you're drawing a girl, first and foremost. Most catgirls only have cat-ears and a tail.
Draw a girl, add ears and tail. Done.
The only thing to note is proportion. Cats actually have very big ears in relation to their head. - This is something to keep in mind when drawing them (and also something I had to consider in creating a costume). - in relation to a human head, the ears could be bigger than the distance between the mouth and eyes...
Possibly even as much as 1/4 the length of the head...
