Cats are a**holes, they are selfish little pri... Okay, I am calm. Basically, they will only come to you when they want something from you... If you want to pet them or make sure they are clean then you have to chase the buggers around the house, and they can fit through gaps you cant.
Cats are much like kids when they're at uni in that way. Although I couldn't agree more, there's no point in having them, they just eat, shit, then go out for 3 days. That's not the point of pets.

Cats can be cute/cuddly and annoying at the same time. Out of having 7 cats, 6 of them have been cute/cuddly/annoying. The other was a annoying ass fat ass who when he died I was glad.

I like my cat. He's awesome. Only mean to others, doesn't bug me for attention, and occasionally brings something dead (rabbits, birds, one time part of another cat) to the porch as a gift for me. Oh, and he once teabagged my old roommate in his sleep, which was hilarious.

So in my case, I'd say... neither.

My family has had many cats over the years.

Back when I was 4 or 5, we had a cat named Zoey, she would sit by the window and growl everytime anything went past, traffic, people, othercats, it didn't really matter.

Then came my brother's cat named Hendrix, he was a really dumb cat, he used to investigate the water whenever anyone had a bath, then he was all surprised when he fell in.

Then came the current cat, Nobby. *Yes I am sure that's how you spell it.* Who seems to switch between annoying little bastard and 'Butter wouldn't melt' cuteness whenever he feels like it.

I love cats, they are so damn cuddly and cute. At least the ones I usually pet. Seriously, how can you resist this?

Or this:

Also, they're very good at defending the home base:

well while I am allergic to cats I learned to love and hate them. they are a joy when they want to be but they can be the most annoying creatures. one almost wrecked my PS 2 by chancing another. so love and hate if they wreck a console ill hurl them across the room to teach them a lesson but as long as they behave they get there good and there love when they want to. so it depends also on what cat you have. some are annoying and some are just cute.

but in general I like cats now even though I didn't at first:)

I had a cat.

His name was Stormy.

I loved this cat with a passion.

My mom had allergies.

She gave him away.

She didn't tell me until she replaced said cat with a dumbass lab who runs into walls and bites my Xbox games.

I miss my cat.

The end.
It's always parents who end the fun with pets. Even if they are allergic, it just annoys me.

Yeah, I mean we had him for like 3 years and I never even knew she had allergies (I still think she just wanted to get rid of him for some f*cking reason). It was just like this:

"Hey Stormy is gonna be staying with someone else for a while so that we can adjust Chubbs to living in our house."

"Ummm, okay?"

Three months later....

"Mom, where is Stormy? I thought he was coming back?!"

"Oh, no, I have allergies so that's why I got a dog instead."

"WTF?!?? WHEN WERE YOU GONNA TELL ME ABOUT THIS!???"

My cat is both. Sometimes he'll be all over me for affection, and other times he'll try to bite my foot off as I walk by.

I dislike cats greatly. As stated before they are selffish pricks who only give you attention if they are expectionally well trained or want somthing. This is one reason I love dogs as they are actually fun to have around the house.
I also keep chickens and having cats chase your newborn chicks around the garden with the intention of eating them does little to endear them to me. I love most animals so whenever I see one stalking somthing in the grass I either scare it off or set the dog in it.
I have met nice fun cats, but mostly I cant stand them.

Oh and I fucking HATE Lolcats.

Cats are much like spiders and bats to me.

I don't want to be around them and they don't want to be around me, but they catch insects and other vermin, so I'm fine with them. Ever since I had a mouse crawl in through my window and scare the fuck out of me, I've always cheered when I've seen a cat in my yard.

My dog cought the mouse by the way, it was hilarious to watch. It chased it for a bit, then managed to swipe it sideways into a wall. The mouse broke it's neck, and I've NEVER seen the dog so happy.
