Truly epic. I've never even tried EVE and CCP still somehow manages to be one of my favourite developers of all time.

I never really got started on Eve; any advice if I where to go back onto a trial account?

Well I can send you a 21 day trial instead of the normal 14 day one if you want to give eve a try.

It was okay, I imagine it was meant to be ironic they were all so dweeby. I found it kind of irritating to be honest, woman and those guys telling me to Harden Up. I don't play EVE but it doesent seem like the kind of game where bitching is common so I imagine the catchline was thrown in for mandatory swearing.

'Ha', I expected/predicted such (a) response(s?), my usual technique/method of protecting myself from said/these 'altercation(s)', is to throw incorrect syntax at it/them.

By ruthless do you mean soul crushingly difficult for new players causing whining and hatred towards them from regulars?

its not really hatred, as a new player, its just...overwhelming, without that much direction, but if i had the time to make it worhtwhile, i would have definately subscribed to it after the trial.

Well scamming people is encouraged, when you die you lose everything you had on and in your ship + the ship itself, if you forget to upgrade you clone you lose skill points when you die (basically levels) and most people fly with the mentality if it's not my friend it's an enemy or better yet a target.

Seems to me you could add up the combined experience of the posters in this thread with playing EVE and summarise it on the back of a postage stamp.
