No, I am not looking for free ones. Rather, what I want to know is, what is your ringtone? Right now my ringtones are Get Ready to Rokk by Freezepop and the codec sound from MGS. Still alive was one of my tones for awhile, though.

I used to have that opinion, but that was when I had a much crappier phone (I got a new one that can actually do ringtones). Now I have ring tones just for the hell of them.

This, essentially. I've often thought about carrying a set of speakers and a cheap MP3 player so that I could drown out the noises of those losers who play music on their phones at the back of the bus, but that's just as antisocial as the alternative.
It's even more fun when you do it with such classics as Rick Astley's smash hit "Never Gonna Give You Up", or the famous opening theme from that universally loved anime, Pokemon.

codec sound from MGS.
Me too >_> My text tone is just a tone, my phone ring is the codec ringing noise. I quite like it, it's piercing and loud and actually sounds like a phone ringing.

On the topic, one of my friends once had him screaming and shouting obscenities as his ring tone. Needless to say I'd call him up in a number of public places and watch as he got embarrassed as his pocket started swearing loudly. It only took him a week to work out that it perhaps wasn't the best plan to have a ringtone like that ;/

The title song from TMNT. It's noisy and embarassing and encourages me to answer the phone.

I have the Codec sound for text messages, but the ring ton itself varies from Wintersun, Three Inches of Blood, or the Zelda theme.

My phones are all on vibrate, because suddenly having a song or a loud ringer kick off during my workday would be rude. Every single person who is aware of this fact has thanked me for it, and more than half of them have switched to all-vibrate as well.

Depends on who's calling. I set my rings to songs I know the callers will disapprove of being set to. As of late, between school and work, it's been uniformly set to vibrate.

As for the sound they hear when they call me, is "Never Gonna Give You Up" by Rick Astley.

I have I sound file I recorded. It goes like this.

*Ringing sound*
"What? Who be this disturbing me bathtime?"
*Ringing continues, along with the sounds of someone struggling to use a phone*
"I hate technology!"
*beep*
"Hello? Captain von Sinkenquicken at 'cher service... what? Why yes I'm wearing pants as a matter of fact"

Get's me some really weird looks on the train.

My ringtone is "C'mon, C'mon" by The Von Bondies. I have my cell on vibrate most of the time, so sometimes I can go months without actually hearing it.

My phone is always set to vibrate, but I should really get around to setting the "you got an item" sound from the Legend of Zelda as my text sound.
