To answer the OP: the Sybils and female Centurions from the Imperius Task Force in CoH, especially the (treacherous, evil, possessed) Centurions.

Of course, the Sybils are single-use hostages who don't really do much and one talker and the Centurions are mass-produced combatants, so whether they count as characters is debatable.

Alright, one that's at least as wrong, a lot older and really NSFW:

I have a weird and endlessly creepy crush on Hope Estheim. Despite him being about 14 and clearly emotionally fragile, I can't help but want to comfort him...then do other things...

I'm sick, I know.

Naoto Shirogane from Persona 4. My obsession with Naoto is well documented. I'd seriously marry her given the chance.

So, does anyone else like a character a little too much? Could be a romance option, NPC, etc.
I really liked Naoto as well.

Y'know, I used to see threads like this and laugh. I figured having an attraction or other feelings towards a fictional character, an animated/cgi character no less, was a pretty sad state of affairs for a person to be in.

Then I recently picked up Mass Effect 2 and at last I understood. I initially started out romancing Miranda, then I recruited Tali. It must be her vulnerability, possibly her accent but there was something about her which made me tell Miranda to do one and instead persued Tali.

Jack took alot longer to grow on me, yet now she also seems to have a special place in me.

As for the males? Well whilst I don't find them attractive Jacob and Mordin are awesome in my opinion. I know Salarians don't really get the whole "drinking" thing but I'd certainly have a couple of beers with those dudes.

In a way it makes it easier not having played the first game yet, in the third game whatever choice you're going to have to make regarding the romance options will be easy.

I should really stop playing...

Anders from DA:A. I love that man.
And Merrill from DA2. Something about her voice, and it being so Iri-scotti-newcastle-ish.
Plus, she says some funny things and gets good reactions from Hawke.
"Hand prints? Who's been swinging on the banister again?... Merrill..."
Merrill (and the rest of the Dalish Elves in DA2 for that matter) actually have Welsh accents, just saying :p

But Yeah, Merrill is awesome especially with a sarcastic Hawke.

Ah, that must be it.
Some of them reminded me of Cheryl Cole without an annoying voice.
And that guy in the camp who tells you that you have arrows tracking you sounds very Irish indeed.

Also, Freya Crescent from Final Fantasy IX. The fact that this character actually got created still baffles me. She's a rat, an anthropomorphic rat, complete with a skinny figure and long claw-like nails. Not exactly something in the line of 'cute cat/bunny girls'. Naturally, because of this, they didn't portray her as a naive happy-go-lucky type, but more 'the knight with honor'. But in an amazing design choice, they didn't make her the butch, righteous warrior, but a strong female dragon knight who is in search of her long lost love and, despite all the tragedy she must face, just keeps on going. Screw Zidane and Garnet, Freya is the one with the real love story.

It's a shame she gets so downplayed in the second and third act of the game.

On a side note, I also really dig Amarant Coral and Vivi Ornitier. But Amarant is sadly even more downplayed than Freya, and Vivi... Well, let's just say that admiring Vivi is something that just goes without saying.
I concur with the choice of Freya.
She has surprising depth despite her lack of screen time.
In one scene, she's exchanging casual snide commentary with Zidane; in another she's sternly reprimanding him for going effectively AWOL with Garnet in the midst of a crisis.
And of course, in her other infamous scene where she's obviously crying but refuses to acknowledge it out of pride.

And not once does it ever come across as forced, campy, or unnatural.
They never painted Freya as a demure flower, a super badass action hero, or an overt sex symbol (all of which become predictable cliche's in every FF game from that point onward); ,but rather as a true professional with lurking emotions and motivations.

If game developers wanted to create a female character that doesn't feel cliche' or forced, Freya Cresent is a great example.

I'm on my second playthrough, just reached Sundermount and yes you are right some do have Irish accents, my mistake :)

Merrill is most definitely Welsh though.

really isn't it obvious....

Aside from my attraction to Cortana I must confess to feeling the same way about Tali, Alyx Vance, Samus, Morrigan(DA Origins), Felicia, and Bonnie McFarlene

Leon, he's so distractingly beautiful. I didn't even like horror games before, but I still got RE4 just because of his lusciousness.
Ha! I didn't want to say him 'cause it seemed too obvious... but total cosign. :D
