Anyone seen the movie Legion? Don't, by the way, if you haven't. The good bits are probably on Youtube, and good is a relative term here.
Anyway, there's a husband and wife in the movie, and at first the wife seems mildly bitchy. Mean to her slightly rebellious daughter, kind of irritating, that sort of thing. It's all okay though, as I'm getting this vibe that she'll learn her lesson and become awesome once the viscous muder-angels the trailers promised show up.
Well, one does, and bites her husband in the neck. Actually rips a chunk out too, none of that wimpy vampire bullshit. Instead of comforting her daughter she just sort of lays about and bitches at people. Alright, I think, gritting my teeth. Her husband did just get his neck ripped open, so I'll give her the benefit of the doubt. More angels show up, and the restaurant where all the characters are staying is boarded up. One apparently good angel shows up, and promptly pretends to be a bad-ass. The others go along with it, because he does have all the guns.
After a series of increasingly stupid or unmemorable events, the murder-angels crucify her husband outside the place. He's quite clearly dead, and covered in boils and nasty shit. The dumb ***** runs out to, I don't know, pop his boils? I don't if she has a plan beyond exposing the last humans on earth to attack. The only reasonably cool character runs after her, and grabs her just in time for her husband to explode into acid, killing the cool character and my interest in the movie, and leaving alive the ***** and my hatred of the movie.
The other characters, catching on to her craziness, tie her up. I would have put two shots in her head and tossed her off the roof, but hey, I'm not an angel. I think an angel would have ripped her to shreds, if the angels in this movie are any indication.
Her teenaged daughter, having seen her dad explode and melt a dude, and her mom reveal herself to be a crazy *****, goes to talk to her for comfort, apparently not remembering the crazy ***** part. Instead of coming together as mother and daughter, the mom blames the girl for the whole thing, cementing her place in "horrible monster of a person" history forever. I re-watched the part where she gets eventually shot ten times. In a row.
