In Mass Effect, I didn't care much for Wrex, but I began to like him through the course of the story.
This. I never liked Tali because...well...She just seemed usless in ME1, and I still disliked her in ME2.Internet Kraken said:Tali from Mass Effect. I suppose I didn't really like her that much, but I never hated her. But after completing her loyalty mission in Mass Effect 2, I grew to dislike her a lot. Though unlike a character like Reaver from Fable 2 it's not because she is poorly designed. I still think she is a good character, it's just that now she is a character that I hate.
On the other hand, I used to really hate Ashley. I think like a lot of people I just dismissed her as a racist ***** after having one short conversation with her. Then when I actually paid attention to her on a later playthrough I found that she had other qualities that I did like, and that her racism wasn't as nearly as bad as I thought and had some justification behind it.
While I liked that line (honestly the idea of a space rebulican is like Dick Cheney with a lightsaber and it makes me smile), I disagree on a few points. Like I said before she isn't completely xenophobic given that on Virmire she happily volunteers to work with Salarians and gets on well with them, respecting their skill and determination. Plus in Mass Effect 2 she acknowledges that while she isn't a great fan of aliens she'd still never work for an extremist group like Cerberus.Amethyst Wind said:Strangely enough I didn't mind Ashley at first, racism aside, she just came across as a hardline soldier who didn't have any other choice but to see aliens as the enemy. Racist - Check (I don't care how she spins it, she's extremely xenophobic when she has much more reason to hate her own species)
God-fearing - Check
Gun-nut - Check
SHE'S A FUCKING REPUBLICAN! IN SPACE!!!
Sorry but Duncan was completely badass and the Joining scene was too. And you can call him out on it and he explains why it had to be done.jedizero said:stuff about Duncan
