Ace Combat Zero: The final boss has a mile and a half long LIGHTSABER strapped to his plane. It can rotate in any direction, so even if you manage to get on his six o'clock, he can just swing it around and do 75% damage with a single hit...the range of it is more than double your missile range. So cheap, the weakest game in the franchise...

In Street Fighter 2, once M. Bison knocks you to the ground he can continually use his slide attack and you can't do anything.
Pretty much this, but with other fighting games.
Most notably...*sigh* Tekken.
I got so frustrated at some things in those games.

Oh and Jinpachi Mishima, when he teleported backwards and shot you with the flames that came from his stomach.
GOD how I hated that.
Urrgh.

The fucking Dark Brotherhood guy attacking my low-level, weak character in Morrowind: GOTY edition was pretty annoying. Stupid expansion...

But for something that wasn't my fault for screwing up my leveling process...

Double Team in the Pokemon games. Makes the AI nearly impossible to hit after even one use, yet alone the full six, leaving you to NEED a move that never misses.

any fighting 1 vs 1 game with a computer. especially on high end or endgame difficuty. every game with bots suffers a fatal flaw in that a computer does not have to move his thumb from the B button to the A. a computer can react in a time fram that humans cannot unless hopped up on speed or having sunk so much time ito they game that gammer couch and system meld into one to become a lifeless, soulless, friendless cyborg. lets take Soulcaliber 4 for example. the computer can be knocked down and then block your next ground shot a feat that would require an epic level rouge with atleast a +20 in his reflex save.

RTS's suffer from this syndrom as well. they dont make human misstakes like accidentally clicking on the mini map send your elite strike force into the heart of the enemies fortifications before your all teched up (my poor hydrolisks, were just no match for the 20 planted seige tanks). computers can macro stacks of units without holding ctrl+#, a simple thing youd hardly think mattered but that .3 of a second transfers into 400hp of a terran barracks that vanishes instantly.

playing against an enemy that doesn't make mistakes has broken more of my controlles than i care to count, and the insueing profanity would make a catholic childs ears bleed.

The nukes in Star Craft. You can spend hours building up your base, and then lose all of it just because the player your against launches a nuke on all of them. If your playing a really long multilayer game (meaning about two hours worth) then usually the last thirty minutes of the match becomes nuclear war, when you only build nukes and ghosts to fire the nukes, which is very boring. Lets hope Star Craft 2 is more balanced.

Hmmm...Dig or Fly in the Pokemon Stadium games for N64.

In KH2, one of the Org 13 guys, Xigbar, teleports and fires needle-things at you at impossible speeds. During the battle this happened to me like 10 times; I'd get trapped in the middle of the room and Xiggy would fire at me, so I'd dodge by jumping. Make sense? Well yes until the millions upon trillions of pink death-shards come out of nowhere and repeatedly impail poor Sora keeping him suspended in midair until the attack stops leaving me with about a quarter of my health left...cheap ass...

AND: not neccessarily cheep in a damaging way (actually yeah, that too) in Prince of Persia, Warrior Within. The first time you fight the Empress (avoiding spoilers here for those of you who still haven't played it) halfway through the battle there's a cutscene where she and the Prince start yelling at each other. If you don't mash block right near the end, she teleports over and kicks you in the face doing impossible amounts of damage before the controller even responds to the return to gameplay...

...Ok I'm done

Seriously, he's worse than "Alma" in Ninja Gaiden.
Indeed. Even with my main man Yoshi, Jinpachi's hard as shit.
