Any boss that has chance of one shotting with an unexpected anavoidable attack deserves to be called the cheapest. Coming to mind is the final boss in Tekken4 and The Green Gobling from Spiderman (yeah, I know, not very popular).

Rerember Altered Beast for Sega? The last boss was fucking harsh! his pattern was just random and tho i do like a challenge it gets stupid when the charector has no recoil time! (when he blinks for a few seconds after being hit giving the player time to move out of harms way) I mean how are you meant to learn a pattern when your dead in 3 seconds? God that game was strange lol

RAISE FROM YOUR GRAVE!

Hmm, a cheap kill eh?
okay, this isn't really a kill, just really fucking bad karma.

Halo 2, the bridge level on the hardest difficulty. Legendary. Honestly it's not a hard level but this one time....... I was playing co-op with my bro, he's pretty good at it so I figured he could help. I grab the BIG tank and he grabs the warthog. All of our cpu counterparts hop in with him. My slow ass tank couldn't keep up so I just sat back and sniped at the wraiths. I did a good job, leaving little for the covenant to hide behind. My brother then gallantly charges over the bridge to take on the covennant single handed. But just as he gets to the middle of the bridge several ghosts appear. My bro and his handful of a.i's start a high speed battle, at this point I thought it prudent to be of some help since this was on the hardest difficulty so I hop out of my slow ass tank and run like hell towards the epic battle. But by the time I get there the battle was won and my bro was off on the other side of the bridge starting a fight with some banshees.... Depressed I start to walk slowly and solemly through the wreckage that was once an enemy. Now any one who hhas played Halo should remember that the convenant vehicles have this nasty habbit of a delayed exploision. On the bright side they start flipping around and start making washing machine noises in order to warn you, on the bad side they start flipping around and start making washing machine noises in order to warn you. So when I turn around to see what that noise I was hearing was, I was gface to face with a half destroyed ghost. I thought, "no way" and started to walk away.....only to have the freakin ghost magically flop right beside me 5 feet away.
Not normally a cause for concern right?
I mean, I might take some flak but thats what shields are for right?
Wrong!
I could feel the universe imploding on me, going against me....I bolt outright in the opposite direction and I got quite far when I finally hear the WhoooshBANG! that I am so used to being grateful for. So I stop and turned around to inspect the damage, only to be met with the wing of the ghost flying right at me. Here's the kicker, I crouch jumped in order to dodge it*(I have amazing in game reflexs as people who have played me learned). At the appex of my jump the ragdolling wing hits a half blown wraith(that I had destroyed) and flips up after me like a fucking ninja star! It chopped me right in the fucking head, insta kill, gamefucking over! Me and my bro were speachless, well not exactly, he was laughing his ass off and I was deciding how to properly kill bungie for making such a fucking spastic physics engine! Luckily I have yet to have this kind of experience in halo thr.....wait a minute.....

I consider the road to the Great Palace and the Great Palace itself to be an extremely cheap enemy in LoZ AoL. The eye ball enemies that fly really fast and make you fall into a lava pit if they touch you in midair. How easy you can get lost and not be able to get on the right track in the palace unless you lose all your lives. The thunderbird, I have not touched that game much since I beat it.

This one is probably Super Smash Brothers: Brawl. The last boss. You know how he does the wave thing. I have yet found a way of not being hit by it...then dying.

How about Mega-Death from Yunalesca? Or, better yet, the Dark Magus Sisters' Delta Attack? Both are instant Game Overs, but at least Mega-Death was stopped by Deathproof.

Note that I've never actually seen Annihilation. He always dies too quickly.

Fortunately I got almost all the ultimate weapons first, so it was over in about 3 turns.

I'm with you on the unavoidable throwing shruikin, and every other move by a Ninja Gaiden 2 boss. Also I dont like those one hit kill moves from boss battles in No More Heroes. I also should mention the scares in Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem, even though they are not attacks, and they are merely just working "outside the box"

I'd have to say Grobbulus (world of warcraft)

Throughout the fight, he will turn toward a random party member and cast a dot on him that will cause a aoe effect within seconds, forcing the player to make distance so his party members dont get hit by it. Thats no problem at all. The problem is that he has another move, where he start splashing slime all over everyone in front of him. For every person who gets hit, an slime will spawn that needs to be offtanked. For this reason, nobody but the tank should stand in front of him at all times. As multiple slimes can slaughter the offtank in seconds, followed by the rest of the raid. Unfortunately, he has the habit of using these 2 abilities at the same time. So he can turn around towards one person in the melee dps group, and spawn 4 slimes at once or more.

Even though we manage to get around this. This kind fo "bad luck" can screw your raid up with little you cna do about it. And I blame it to poor programming.

Off the top of my head
Gaea Rage used by Demifiend/Hitoshura in Digital Devil Saga.
Anything used by the level five boss from Ninja Gaiden on the NES.
Jinpachi's fire ball from Tekken 5... he makes Seth look like a wet noodle.
Black/Gold forms found in Survival Mode from Guilty Gear X2, I actually broke a controller in anger because of this.
Gregorio the 3rd from Gitaroo Man.
Many of the bosses from Samurai Western, but mostly the damn twins in the mines level and the quadruplets in survival and extra mode with there jitterbuggin and shotguns and being barley 3 feet tall

Zu in Phantasy Star Online: Blue Burst. they fly away then dive at you, then circle round and do it again...3 times. when they aren't diving at you they shoot energy beams at you. they are REALLY annoying, particularly when they are in groups or there are other enemies as well.

Pretty much everything used by sephiroth in KH2.
Dude he was way easier in KH2.
Sephiroth in KH1 and his damn "Halo" attack.
Or the Phantom
Is the phantom by any chance the name of the bonus boss in Neverland? Yeah he killed me like a small dog. I just use the reflect on Seph in KH2 and let him kill himself.
oh yeah that guy was a pain. i accidentally left one of the 101 dalmation boxes when i played it which meant i had to kill phantom just to get the completion (there was some reward, i cant remember). it took me about 7 or 8 gos and a LOT of rage.
as for sephiroth, i fought him once in KH and i didn't want to waste my time trying to fight him again. just a joke.
