Hard to avoid area attack!

a digital pizza for the first that knows the game.

From Psychonauts. I love that game. And as the attack itself tells you, it's hard to avoid not impossible. I mostly stuck close in the battle and won through. The Boss that uses the attack is the evil coach at the psychic camp for psychics.

Well she did say "I sense a powerful presences, it must be Death." I thought she meant it metaphorically......
That was her warning. Listen to it next time.

I don't know what game it is. But this one Batman game has a fight vs the Joker who tackles you to the ground and beats you to death. Maybe the guy I watched play it (on YouTube) was doing something wrong. But ge said he die pretty much everything.

Seriously. He had full health and he got taken down once and it was over. And it's not even an easy move to foresee or dodge. It's one of those moves that you knda know is coming but don't really bother doing anything, because it does so little damage. Except all of a sudden it kills you in one, extremely drawn out and infuriating move.

Giant Cactaur in FFVIII - 10,000 Needles.

Damn did I hate that move. Thankfully it didn't happen every round, but still. An attack that does 10,000 damage regardless of armor or spell buffs, which just happens to be one point higher than the HP limit. Goddamned kick in the balls that was.

At least he wasn't too difficult to take down, though I'm still miffed we only get the '1000 Needles' attack when he's on our side.

I-No's attack as the final boss for Dizzy in Guilty Gear, the one with all the balls. Is it impossible to dodge? No. Is it ridiculously over powered? Yes.

I know this thread has been done before but I haven't seen it recently so THREAD REMAKE TIME!

I thought this today while playing Persona 3, I encountered a boss or something of that sort called The Reaper, within half a second I was at the "You died, reload from a save you made 2 hours ago?" screen.

Discussion Value: Have you ever fought a boss with an EXTREMELY cheap attack? I challange you to find a move cheaper than The Reaper's, his move is a 1 hit-kill, impossible to dodge, unblockable, shot.
I don't think you're supposed to fight the Reaper ntil much later in the game. You can kill him though...

I'm going to rage if anyone says anything about Seth from Street Fighter 4..
...Who? Seriously, I have no idea who the hell that is...
[img_inline caption="Seth from Street Fighter 4"]http://guidesmedia.ign.com/guides/768984/images/streetf4_char_seth.jpg[/img_inline]
Seth is the final boss in the arcade mode of both Street Fighter 4 and Super Street Fighter 4. He is basically one of those bosses that has a bunch of other peoples moves(Dhalsim's stretchy arms, Ryu's Shoryuken, Zangief's Spinning Piledriver) but also has some of his own.

Most people think he is "cheap", because they are new to Street Fighter, or new to more competitive fighting games in general. He can teleport around a bit, and catch you off guard if you aren't careful but he is pretty dang simple compared to most other fighting game's bosses such as I-no from Guilty Gear or Rugal from King of Fighters.

He just comes off as too big of a difficulty spike to most new people, and because they have a problem with Boss Seth, they think that normal Seth is cheap too, when he really isn't. He may have some of most devestating and long running combos in the game, but he is very slow on the ground, and he has the worst stamina(health) in the game(stun too, I think), which levels him out. So it mostly comes down too, newbie can't beat him, he must be the hax...and it just infuriates me when he gets brought up in these "cheap/hardest" type of topics, where he is only slightly difficult or hard at best.

Always some lucky hit that screws me over. Thank God for gravity force escape *hugs Golbez*

Impossible to dodge? I don't remember that move.

OT:Skip to 10:23.
It's called Mudoom, seriously, it was OVER TWO HOURS SINCE I LAST SAVED. I beat 4 bosses and went up 25 rooms in that tower and I lost ALL OF IT because of some stupid boss.
Why didn't you save more?
I'd have to go back to the dorms and that instantly makes it night time so I would have to give up literally all of my day for one save. Also, I was grinding my character up and it gave me no warning that a godly boss was near-by.
Which version of P3 are u playing? The one for psp you can save at the clock at the main floor of Tartarus. I don't know if the original one you can though.

Oh god megalomania....fucking fuck FUCK!! Poor Chipp shat his pants every time that attack showed up. It was easy to dodge except for the one that just fills the entire screen and wastes your whole tension meter (and when you need it too!!). It's as bad as Justices 100% tension meter overdrive that will kill you instantly if you don't block it with faultless defense.

When you fight Yunalesca in Final Fantasy X. OMG she had his instant death spell that wiped all party members. I thought it was cheap until I remembered an easy way to prevent it from working..

I'm going to just go ahead a say every enemy in Ninja Gaiden. Even "throw away" enemies can break your guard by basically just grabbing you and kicking you in the balls. And you had to love exploding shurikens. Suddenly, you get hit by a shuriken, and just when you think it's ok. BOOM!

I'm also gonna name Yunalesca in Final Fantasy 10 as a cheap boss. In her first form she counters all attacks with spells that weaken you. Physical attacks earn blind and magic attacks receive silence. Not that big a deal, but annoying. In her second form, she'll use an attack called Hellbiter that turns your group into zombies, so that you can't heal them and then she'll cast Regen on them. That's no so bad. It's her third form, though. MEGA DEATH! Instant kill on your whole party, unless they are zombies or have equipment that protects them. Of course, she does it as soon as she transforms. And a few more when she feels like it. That is a seriously cheap move. To just kill your whole party in the third stage of a fight...

I wouldn't say these are the hardest, but they are some of the cheapest around.

I don't care if this is a DS game or not, this is one cheap-ass boss if you don't know how to kill it.

Not the cheapest but the tentacle explosion used by the final boss in Prototype ran a serious risk of draining a fully upgraded Alex Mercer of all of his health even with the extra that is used to power special attacks. If you were in close and missed the telegraph then you would be pretty fucked.

If it counts, the Deathclaw Matriarch is just one, giant dick-move. I hate it.

the boss final fantasy bosses "Carry Armor" and Ruby Weapon. they both have instant moves that can be used right off the bat and automatically take a party memober out for the remainder of the fight.

Carry Armor's arms can be taken out during the fight and the party member freed but if done early enough you cant generate enough damage to kill it fast enough.

Ruby Weapon has an ability that tkaes a party member out of the fight right at the very beginning and they can't come back from it and then he is immune to all physical damagel.

all these years and i still can't beat him

Gonna have to say Level 5 Death from Final Fantasy, specifically when used by Doom Gaze. I can recall a certain occasion where it was one of my first times picking up the airship in the World of Ruin when boom, fight starts out, opens with Level 5 Death like he always does, all four members of the party had levels divisible by five. Kinda sucked that I couldn't really go very far in the airship until leveling one or two guys just because of one spell.
