Pretty much all the codes for GTA Vice City and San Andreas.

After finishing the game I just liked to spawn helicopters, tanks etc and just wreck shit up all across the map for hours like I?m playing Destroy all Humans. Thanks to that those codes are now programmed into me.

I fear that in a few years I am going to get knocked out, strapped to a chair and have someone scream at me 'What are the codes!' until I finally snap. And even then rather than explaining the codes I?m just going to recount a random selection of points in my life which are loosely related to how I obtained the codes while my interrogator just goes along with it rather than punching me in the face, telling me to stop wasting his time when there was a national emergency in progress and just skip ahead and tell him what the codes mean rather than using the 'Assassins Creed' method of having to explain all the back-story before I can get to the ending which is all anyone cares about despite the fact that the back-story has barely any relation to the overall ending and in many places completely contradicts itself. And once I have revealed all I know I will then escape the situation by the skin of my teeth, likely with a massive explosion, with everyone involved in the incident either dead, hushed up or too crazy for anyone to believe to the point that it pretty much never happened in the first place.

So that?s GTA, Destroy all Humans, Call of Duty, Assassins Creed, Enslaved and Dead Space referenced in one post.

That one right there! It was told to me by an older kid when I was in the 2nd or 3rd grade and it has stayed in my memory to this day!

MISSINGNO from Pokemon Red and Blue.

Ah, the memories of infinite Rare Candies and Master Balls...and then having the game spaz out (especially the Hall of Fame on your PC).

Lots of them!

Doom:
IDDQD
IDKFA
IDFA
IDBEHOLD_ (you fill in the last letter of whatever powerup you want)

Sonic 3:
Up up down down up up up up; do that between the title screen and the "SEGA" and if you did it correctly you hear a chime, then you can go to sound test and level select.

Sonic 3 & Knuckles:
Left left left right right right up up up; but this time you go and do it from a hanging vine or any other object that you can hang from (like those weird lift things in Mushroom Hill Zone). Once again you get access to sound test and level select if you go back to the title screen.

Sims:
Rosebud;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;hjre or whatever gibberish at the end, then you can just keep pressing enter for mucho dinero ;)

Every gamer should know this one by heart.
No they shouldn't. Not everyone spent their childhood playing those Konami games, and the code is pretty irrelevant now. No need to know it if you never used it.

True, but that's not actually a cheat code, it's just a cheat. A very fun and memorable cheat though.

But it has been in modern games as well. :/

Plus, it is a part of gamer heritage. :/

ctrl+shift+c -> motherlode
Repeat.

I don't know why, but I've never been able to play the Sims without using that cheat, I just could not be bothered to earn the money properly.

From the first Age of Empires. Damn I loved that rocket car :3
