The look has been noticeably altered. The long Fall boot, as advertised in the most recent investment opportunity advert, also looks a fair bit like a springy high heel. The comics even have her cheeks and face looking rosier.

I should have made it more clear that I would only consider a computer generated image one that has been specifically designed by somebody rather than being an actual picture of someone. I'll wait to see the game to see what Chell actually looks like. Going from old-engine screenshots to new render quality shots is not really a fair comparison. It wouldn't surprise me that they're going to bring her closer in line to the model they based her off of though.

I'm not seeing that much of a difference, apart from the obvious quality in rendering. She just partially stripped her jumpsuit away, and is now revealing more with that tanktop.

Half Life 2 didn't take place that far in the future [http://half-life.wikia.com/wiki/Timeline_of_the_Half-Life_universe], and according to the same timeline Portal takes place a wee bit before Half Life 2.
