Hey all:

I Just got into a new glass, and there's this really awsome, smart, cute chick in there. Were getting along just fine. Then, I discover that she has the name last name as me. I how much would this bother you? Because the second I found out it made things akward for me

Why did you feel awkward after finding this out? There are billions of people on this Earth, most with last names, some with multiple ones! Don't allow yourself to focus on something that really doesn't mean anything aside from when written on paper. Perhaps one day if you find yourself in love with this girl, and plan to marry her... maybe. Until then, just focus on enjoying your time with her and getting to know her.

OT: Just check your family history. If you don't see her in your family history for maybe 8 generations, just ask her out.

I'd recommend researching your family tree. If she's on it, then either painfully quell your awkward feelings for her or embrace them and accept a life of potential social resentment.

If she's not, great, and go ahead with whatever your plan is. It'll save her time changing her name after the wedding, so that's just efficient!
