Hah, that was great!

OT: I changed mine to Captain Planet.
The most impractical of all superheroes!

I don't actually get the point of it...like, wouldn't it be better and more effective for everyone to donate, say, £1 to the NSPCC in order to help the charity do its job?

Changing your picture to a cartoon character won't make neglectful, lazy, violent parents treat their children any better...I'm not saying raising awareness isn't a good thing, but I know that not a single one of my friends who've changed their picture would donate cash.

Having said that, I'd probably change mine to a Pokemon character if I joined in. It might not be great now, but Pokemon's one of the only cartoons I remember from childhood so...

Charizard FTW!

I think this is a totally appropriate picture and shows my devotion to the ending of child abuse.

My friend has the exact same one. Love Captain Scarlet, he's so much more bad ass than Thunderbirds ever were.

What did I go for?

I'm using Dexter (from Dexter's Laboratory, not the serial killer). I think it's completely pointless, but it's as good an excuse as any to have a cartoon character as your display picture.

I'm using gyarados from Pokemon because it was originally "Pokemon Profile Picture Month". They did it last December and they did it this year too, just for fun, but I guess some random morons turned it into this "Child Abuse Awareness" with any cartoon character (because not everyone likes Pokemon, and no one can be left out!). That makes no damn sense. People are stupid.

Oh and here's proof: A link to the event LAST YEAR, that had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with child abuse at all.

laughing my head off here...
feel bad, but I am so showing this to my friends who are changing their pictures
honestly, I'm not dumb enough (and I doubt most of your friends are really dumb enough) to think they're actually helping against child abuse.

It's all about showing off your favorite cartoon characters and taking a trip down memory lane
yeah of course not (one would hope), but you never know lol
