Child directs air traffic at JFK airport

A thought occurs to me; why exactly was this guy allowed to bring the kid to work with him in the first place? I would think that if the kid being there would be such a problem his supervisor or some other person with authority would have stopped it.

Agreed, there would have been no split second reaction issues. If there was an issue, the father could take over. Don't sue him, just say, never again.

Ye just realized there that yer man and his kid were talking at the same time, plus the pilots they were talking too didnt seem to have a problem with it.

The Dad was just telling the kid what to day, shouldn't the pilots receive some form of reprimand for putting their passengers at risk by taking the instructions from a kid?
