"I wonder what they thought of you, Nicole. You are truly the aspect of victory. Reminds me of this one time in Greece..."

Everyone likes the wings... she shrugged in response to Prometheus's compliment.

Able seemed a little scratched up but otherwise unharmed by his part of the fight, and he shrugged guess he's ok, thats good at least. He did give a concerned glance at his shirt, seems several of them would be in need of new clothes soon, Andrew having already donated a jacket to Prometheus.

He reached out and placed a hand on her shoulder, and gave her a concerned look I guess its pretty obvious huh. Almost wish I had a mirror so I could see it myself. "I should be fine, I'm just... not used to all this, never been in a fight before." She didn't really mind the hand on her shoulder, felt a bit comforting if anything.

At least my reaction is normal apparently, heh I'd be a terrible Greek hero. Might have to get used to this to hunt Dio, not sure if I want to though. Still the satyrs had attacked them relentlessly, fighting until they were all dead, she wondered how normal humans would have fared against them, and if those were the servants Dionysus had then he could be quite a threat.

"I'm just gonna go throw my self under the van now..."

'Well, at least we're red together. Yay, big happy red family! Wait, fami- SHUT UP.'

"No need, no need." Dan tried to suppress laughter, and simply bit his finger before continuing, wiping the blood off on his pants.

"Well hasn't this turned into a minefield. I like you, and apparently you like me, right?" Dan made an aatempt to start over, hopefully less slip ups now.

"Well hasn't this turned into a minefield. I like you, and apparently you like me, right?"

Aria just nodded, not trusting her self to not say something stupid. "Sorry about all that" she finally said. "Just been alone a long time, kinda starved for positive attention, ya know." then shook her head and laughed at her own incompetence'Great ... now I sound desperate ... Go Team "Would ya look at me, best match maker in five states, tripping over every other line"

"Sorry about all that, just been alone a long time, kinda starved for positive attention, ya know?"

'Yes, surprisingly. Though my retreat from society was my own doing...' Dan nodded sympathetically, smiling lightly.

"Would ya look at me, best match maker in five states, tripping over every other line..."

"Maybe it's like hair cutting?" 'Starting out stupid, watch as the amazing Dan slips further and further down!' "You can only do it to others, and not yourself?" 'Trick complete, round of applause while he tries to not slink into the shadows and die.'

"Er, that could've come out better. Sorry." Dan rubbed the back of his head again, burying his face in his palm. He got the feeling this would cause even Odin to cringe if he were to walk in on this...

Aria smiled and yawned at Dan's dumb joke, and once again found her self leaning against him "Maybe we should just not talk" she said, the yawned again "Would it be ok if I used you as a pillow? Not really used to using my powers that much" she said he eyes opening and closing a bit slower, before just closing, not really alseep, but not really awake ether.

Prometheus shrugged the jacket on, thanking Andrew. With that, he clambered back into the van and honked the horn several times.

"Would someone drag Dan and Aria away from eachother so we can get going? If we're late...well...I don't even want to consider what would happen."

"I should be fine, I'm just... not used to all this, never been in a fight before."

It was understandable, It wasn't like any of them were used to fights to the death... at least Abe hoped not. He shot Nicole an expression, there's no describing the facial movements, not really, only that his face seemed to say "Sucks right?". And it did. With the adrenaline fading and the reality of his actions sinking in it Able felt hungover.

Prometheus called out for them to get back in the van like an irritable school teacher. Let's just get moving, the sooner we get this over with blah blah blah. He slogged up towards the van, discarding the tattered remnants of his T-shirt and shrugging his hoody back on, zipping it up as he did so. It had somehow managed to stay tied around his waist during the fight and only had a little bit of blood on it, it would have to do for now. He left the shirt on the ground. In the back of his head faint thoughts of it being left there for years, covered by the earth until it was finally found by archiologists in the distant future... and it confused the crap out of them. It was a stupid thought but it was enough to lighten his mood.

He slowed his pace as he neared their ride, casting a backwards glance at Nicole. He didn't want to seem like he was ditching her, but then again do you want to be the weirdo that crowds people after traumatic events? He took his place onboard, saving a palce the no-longer-winged Nicole in case she was so inclined. He leaned his head back against the seat and let out a sigh. He felt tired but just couldn't bring himself to close his eyes. It was going to be a slow trip.

Able walked back to the van at Prometheus's insistence that they get going, she followed and sat in the spot he was saving for her. His pen and paper should also be in here, so it would be easier for him to talk, though he seemed to be feeling somewhat like she did after the fight. Dan and Aria were leaning against each other in the back, Aria apparently having fallen asleep I guess those blasts took something out of her, her and Dan seem to have gotten close really quickly.

"Its a bit more than that too, I feel like part of me enjoyed it, it felt almost like running a race, and I'm not sure I want to enjoy it," she said, Able was if nothing else a good listener so it felt easier to trust him although she wondered how many of them also had felt enjoyment from the fight, certainly many of them had fought quite viciously.

"There, you're welcome." Remus turned his head around as he felt Andrew touch his hand. Within seconds the cuts caused by the Satyr's vanish as if they were never there to begin. "Well, that was fast!" he said with a smile. He noticed that Andrew hadn't used any medical tools on him. It seemed the son of Apollo's amazing healing ability had more to do with his heritage than his surgical training. Remus nodded his head at Andrew. "Thanks for the help."

"I'm going to go check on the others, maybe you should go see if they need help with the car Remus?" It seemed Nicole wasn't in the best mood for idle chatting. Not a surprise, considering how she react to the aftermath of their skirmish. It was always odd for him to remember that most people weren't as used to bloodshed as he was. Remus nodded his head again. "A good idea. Certainly." Yet as he made his way towards the van, a now-recovered Prometheus had entered and was honking like an impatient driver.

As he climbed into the vehicle, he saw Nicole enter as well. Remus decided to take his seat across from her rather than right next to her. Give her some breathing space since she was probably still disturbed from their fight. "Its a bit more than that too, I feel like part of me enjoyed it, it felt almost like running a race and I'm not sure I want to," Remus decided to speak up at this. "Killing a violent beast should never be seen as dark pleasure. It should be recognized as what it really is - a duty done to protect others from greater harm." he said, then shrugged. "At least that's what my uncle told me when he taught me how to hunt."

Prometheus had taken the jacket, and thanked him, before going into the van and tried to rush them on. Andrew went over to Steven and asked him if he wanted a shot of the morphine, and then listening to Steven's wishes when he was answered. After that, he went inside the van. Etna still hadn't gone inside so Andrew borrowed her seat, leaning against the window. She might get upset, but to be honest, he was too tired to care.

If she asks I'll reply that I've tired myself out saving people's lives.

It was true, after all. And that made him feel satisfied, they might have been the ones doing the killing, but he had fixed them afterwards. Patched them up, using his powers.

My powers.

Although it had its limits, and could tire him out to use, he couldn't help but see the potential in them, for him as a doctor and a surgeon. Backed up with tools, skills and knowledge, he could save almost everyone if he wished to.

If?

The way to use his powers was through knowledge. He could go through different injuries in his head, and determine if he could heal it or not. Well, not everything was that easy to figure out. But most. With this game, he had earlier realized he could also cure people of diseases.

Or create them.

A chilling thought, and part of him didn't trust himself with such a power. He had still been carrying the morphine, after all.

I'm fine, I'm a healer, not a killer.

Then again, most of the other demi-gods hadn't been killers before, and they had murdered a bunch of satyrs, some quite violently as well. And unlike them, he hadn't reacted at all, seeing all that death.

...He had kept the morphine on his body, even. Why?

I'm just tired. I should go to sleep.

Andrew closed his eyes, and tried to sleep. It didn't take long for him to fall asleep, even before the van had started.

"Its a bit more than that too, I feel like part of me enjoyed it, it felt almost like running a race, and I'm not sure I want to enjoy it."

Did she get that buzz too? He had heard things about people getting addicted to violence, well he said heard, he'd seen 'Hurt Locker' and 'Jarhead'. His mum had always been highly against having any violent influences around the house, she'd nearly burst a blood vessel when he told her he'd signed up for boxing classes... he was beginning to understand why.

He fumbled for his pen and pad against the fatigue. there was no need to go into any detail about the smaller aspects of internal struggles with the darker sides of the human nature, but hey he was going through it too, who wouldn't want someone to say they understood. He still wasn't sure he did understand but the past 24-hours had been full of new things, they could always learn together.

[You too huh?] Said his notepad. [I think we get it from our parents. Gods, bad influences all of them!] He held the pad up to her for a moment, his face looking like the death he'd just caused and he slowly lifted the pen and pointedly added [:p] to the end before following it up with, [...I'm not going to actually stick my tongue out at you... we're just not there in our relationship yet...]. Bit of mute humour there... it's not at all an aquired taste.

Remus was striding in through the cramped van, calm as usual. His advice on the matter was: "Killing a violent beast should never be seen as dark pleasure. It should be recognized as what it really is - a duty done to protect others from greater harm." Could you BE any more of a gladiator?

[...I'm not going to actually stick my tongue out at you... we're just not there in our relationship yet...]

She couldn't help but laugh a little at this, Able's reply cheered her up quite a bit, it was good to know she wasn't the only one, and his jokes helped her feel better. She found herself smiling as her laughter died down, and felt a bit surprised at how much better his words made her feel about the whole thing. Probably not good to dwell on it, but I'm glad some people understand.

"Thanks Able, I think I needed a laugh," she said, before giving him a quick hug, though she quickly let go. Hope I didn't get even more blood on him.

"Killing a violent beast should never be seen as dark pleasure. It should be recognized as what it really is - a duty done to protect others from greater harm."

Remus had entered the van and replied to her concern, thanks I think I already knew that I already knew that I shouldn't have fun killing things. She wasn't really sure how to reply to him, voicing her sarcastic thoughts might be a bit too harsh considering he seemed to be trying to offer advice. She shrugged and decided to try and move the conversation to a different topic.

"So Able, I think most of us answered Aria's earlier question about our families, what about you? You have anyone back home?" she asked Remus just mentioned his Uncle, and I think he said he had a family farm earlier.

Vera - currently in the form of a miniature dust devil - made her way back aboard the bus and "walked" all the way to the back; after even the last seat. Given that she wasn't even a solid being at the moment, she hardly needed a the chair; not that she wanted it. Images of the satyrs raced through her head; scenes as their bodies crashed together, their bodies bent in unnatural ways, blood running down free from their skulls. The ordeal bothered her immensely; to the point where were she still physical she'd have been behind the bus with Aria, losing her breakfast.

She'd killed them. She'd killed them without hesitation or second thought. Vera didn't have much trouble with the fact that she'd needed to kill them; they'd attacked, it was in self-defense. It wasn't that she wanted them dead, it was just necessary. Their deaths were meaningless in more ways then one. She couldn't feel remorse about... it. Even now, she knew that she'd take the same action.

That was what bothered her; the lack of empathy. She didn't [i[care[/i] that she'd killed them. She didn't mind that they were bleeding out in the middle of the desert. She couldn't care less. So, Vera floated in the back of the bus, slowly spinning, and desperately trying to forget all of it.

The fight was over, so Etna got into the van again, hoping that there would be no more interruptions. She quickly saw that Andrew had nabbed her seat. No matter. In the van, there were plenty of seats and she could even end up away from Mr. Nice Guy. Without any thoughts, she grabbed a seat in the middle section of the van and waited for the van and the group to get going again. They were talking about the pleasure of killing now. Etna personally hadn't experienced it. She had experienced the sick joy of getting others to like her just with a quick thought. The rush of power... That ecstasy... Nevertheless, she had learned the hard way and chose to actually bother with relationships - but not those sort of relationships, they had never interested her. Sex was only something people did when their hormones got out of control. Her ability was emotion control, yes, but she never liked the fact of being controlled herself. Especially by a few chemicals. Still, whoever these demigods were, it seemed they had never had a chance to fully use their powers. Untested, unproven, and therefore dangerous. No wonder Prometheus had chose them.

Steven got back in the passenger seat again, wondering if anyone brought food.

"Anyone got anything to eat?" Steven asked, "I got really hungry when I was healed."

Casting a sidelong glance at Stephen, he spoke loudly, so the others could hear.

"Nope. But there'll be food when we get there."

Prometheus stuck the beaten van into drive and left a trail of dust behind him. The fight had seemed to wake everyone up to the reality of the situation. Perhaps now they will take him seriously and work as a group rather than a band of teenagers.

They drove in near silence for an hour, before Prometheus began to slow down as he approached the tourist hub. They could grab a bite to eat and maybe resupply, depending on how much cash they all had. Or they could knuckle down and skip dinner, heading straight for the Cave in the Rock.

"Do you lot need a rest? Or keep going into the rock?"

Prometheus prayed they said no, but he knew if they didn't that they'd be caught tired and unprepared if a fight was to break out.

"Up to you, I still don't feel like eating though" Aria said, not moving from Dan's shoulder, though she knew she should eat, get her strength back up in case they got attacked again

Remus was a bit disappointed by the lack of any response by Nicole. It was clear though that she wasn't feeling well discussing the subject of murder anymore. Not wanting to see anyone start vomiting again, he decided to avoid talking about it for the time being. Nicole had started chatting up Able, asking him about his family. Remus avoided joining in on their discussion. While he did love his small family and wouldn't mind discussing them, thinking about his life back home made him feel painfully homesick. He remembered having quite the stressful headache back when he was voicing his worries about his farm with Andrew. Remus considering starting up conversation with said doctor, yet saw that he had fallen asleep. With nothing much else to do, he simply started about at the van's windows, enjoying the scenery while keeping a sharp eye out for any more threats.

Eventually Prometheus came to a slow as residential lights could be seen in the distance. "Do you lot need a rest? Or keep going into the rock?" Remus peeled his eyes away from the window and looked over the other demigods. "I don't care for any rest, but the others might want to take a breather." While he could certainly power through the day, it would pointless if everyone else was starving and tired.

"Would it be ok if I used you as a pillow? Not really used to using my powers that much"

"Yeah, sure, go ahead." Dan said, and simply zoned out. He didn't really mind, though he didn't think he was that soft. He noticed the people get into the car, and laughed a bit at Remus. He seemed to be having far worse luck with girls...

"Do you lot need a rest? Or keep going into the rock?"

"Keep going, I think I'm awake enough to handle whatever gets thrown at me next. Still a bit pumped, actually." Dan smiled weakly, still a bit guilty over not feeling disgusted or tired.

"I can keep going," Steven said, opening the passenger door, "I just going to find some food and pray they take dollars..."

Steven then looked at his blood covered pants.

"...On second thought, does somebody mind buying me some food?" Steven sat back down and pulled out some cash, "I think it is best if the authorities are not hunting us to ask questions."
