not entirley, kinda like the new orleans crap awhile back, they had an ample warning to get the hell out and they didnt, then everyone bitched about how bad it was after the hurricane hit.Treefingers said:Harsh. And uncalled for.Hallow said:hahaha, sucks to be in Hawaii. Oh, and they've got proper warning, so I'm not gonna feel bad when they get hit (not that I would anyway).
You mean the Haiti-Chile one or the one that hit Okinawa earlier this week?Plurralbles said:I wonder what is going on in the earth's mantle(and related, its crust) to make two earth quakes with one resulting in a serious tsunami threat.
Hmm.. I wasn't aware. 3 then. : )Maxieon said:You mean the Haiti-Chile one or the one that hit Okinawa earlier this week?Plurralbles said:I wonder what is going on in the earth's mantle(and related, its crust) to make two earth quakes with one resulting in a serious tsunami threat.
It must be hell living there. What about tsunamies though?Abbadiel said:Chilean here, was awake when the earthquake struck. Lasted about one minute and a half, with about 30 seconds of really hard movement. Good thing is, my apartment suffered no structural damage. Only some shattered glasses.
The hot-zone right now is Concepción, on the south. The epicenter was near there, and to my knowledge the city is utter chaos. Building 15 stories tall cut in half, fires everywhere. The fire department is collapsed from all the ensuing disaster.
Didn't the evacuation tell them to stay away from the coast, and didn't President Obama say to listen to the evacuation orders.Calgetorix said:It must be hell living there. Well, I guess it's simple plate tectonics.Plurralbles said:I wonder what is going on in the earth's mantle(and related, its crust) to make two earth quakes with one resulting in a serious tsunami threat.
the way you put it, it looks like extreme communism... just kill off the rich ones and the poor ones...Echer123 said:First all of our celebrities die off, and now Mother Nature is throwing natural disasters at our third-world countries!
I see a trend. A wrathful, violent trend.
God help us all.
i'm sure you have a reason for this...?Hallow said:I'm not gonna feel bad when they get hit (not that I would anyway).
O_O "enough"?? enough for what?? D=Irridium said:Oh shit.
Since people have warning, hopefully enough people can be saved.
people aren't going to leave their homes and all their belongings because of the threat of a tsunami.Plurralbles said:I'm watching fox news right now and there's hawaiins watching for it on the coast. Stupid.
i never said that they're stupid for not leaving, I said they were being stupid for waiting for it where it'll be worst. They are on high groudn though so I guess they're doing it safely So nevermind.dont_blink said:people aren't going to leave their homes and all their belongings because of the threat of a tsunami.Plurralbles said:I'm watching fox news right now and there's hawaiins watching for it on the coast. their entire lives have been built there, it's not stupid to want to stand by that. if they stay, at least they can do their best to protect their homes and maybe rebuild their towns.
also, if the tsunami doesnt hit, their homes will still most likely be ransacked and robbed in the ensuing frenzy.
stupid

what are you going to do with them??
The fact that he said 'not that I would anyway' disregards any care with or without a warning. makes it pretty ruthless.wwjdftw said:not entirley, kinda like the new orleans crap awhile back, they had an ample warning to get the hell out and they didnt, then everyone bitched about how bad it was after the hurricane hit.Treefingers said:Harsh. I didnt say it was easy to evacuate an entire city, let alone an entire island, Now, lets not get into an argument, You tryed to call out somone over the internet, turns out they had an allie, its my opinion. And geuss what, everyone on this site has the right to opinionate on what ever the hell they want.Treefingers said:The fact that he said 'not that I would anyway' disregards any care with or without a warning. makes it pretty ruthless.wwjdftw said:not entirley, kinda like the new orleans crap awhile back, they had an ample warning to get the hell out and they didnt, then everyone bitched about how bad it was after the hurricane hit.Treefingers said:Harsh. And seriously, such levels of death and destruction is always going to be a tragedy. Sure, they can get a warning, but take New Orleans for example... you think that it's easy to evacuate an entire fucking city? What about those that can't afford it? Not to mention they still lose their homes.
I feel sorry for the dead and the homeless. As for new orlens, Did the people in the city not have days if not weeks they were warned that the levi's could not and would not hold back the surge of water from the ocean, I DO NOT feel bad for them, sure they would have left stuff behind if they legged it, but they wouldnt have been in the center of the storm now would they? and they would have lost their stuff anyways. Get off your high horse please.
