All right, as a woman, I find the whole 'I don't need no man' attitude rather annoying.
Good manners is good manners. If a gentleman holds open a door for me I think of it as a polite, chivalrous gesture and these 'wymen' as you call them are what is creating more barriers for women.
For instance, political parties are now ignoring worthy candidates to fulfil a quota of female representatives, due to militant 'wymen' Surely this will just create resentment leading to more sexist notions.

I have never encoutered any so-called wymen but agree that their prescence in society is undeniable. I think when most people hear the word sexism they would never consider a woman having sexist views towards men, it is equality of women gone mad. Women have long acheived equality with men and yet some still act as if they are predjudiced against because of their gender.
that's not particularly accurate, women and men are not yet equals everywhere, to do so would be impossible, once will always be (if maybe only slightly) prejudiced against, but that's just life, my concern is about the wymen who think that because throughout the course of history women have been oppressed by men (and nobody can deny that) that they have the right to be callous and rude towards men simply for being men. That really defeats the purpose of looking for equality if they really want superiority.
That's just it,those types of people don't want to be equals they want to be treated as superiors.

Yeah I guess if you ignore the divisions of household labour, difference in wages, difference in positions, domestic abuse, the sex industry, depictions of gender-based power relations in culture, and rape, it would be perfectly reasonable to say that women have long achieved equality with men. I mean, they can vote so what more do they want amirite?

Additionally, I think it's a dumb idea, but you're all getting this "wymen" thing wrong. It is "womyn," because the word "women" presents male as the default gender and female as a perversion of it (women), you can't just stick a y in there for no reason

Good-- I hate Chivalry. Women don't deserve special treatment. They deserve to pay for their own goddamn shit, carry their own goddamn shopping bags and set down their own goddamn toilet lid.

That said, I hold open doors for anyone that happens to be close behind me. It's just common courtesy.

I read the OP, but you made the claim that "Chivalry is dead. And women killed it." in the title. Might want to change that. And you seemed to be basing this idea that wymen are somehow to blame for men's shitty attitudes all on one encounter with an insecure war-pig, not on society as a whole. That kind of thing never happens normally, so maybe the best idea is to get over it? Throwin' the idea out there.

And don't make insinuations about my intelligence just because I disagree with you, bro.

...Wait, how the hell are wymen comparable to Hitler?

Yeah, that's right, that one person's overreaction clearly means that women are now oppressing men

And where you live that they don't have men's gyms I have no idea
in his defense i'm pretty sure he specifically pointed out that not all women were like this. And (though apparently this has been done before) i agree with him to some extent.

I'll hold a door open for anyone, it's just politeness. I've never been chided for it because I act as if it's something one should simply do, if you've opened the door and you're not in a hurry, stand aside and let someone through.
Thats how I roll

So if not all women are like this, how is it a problem? Even with that token caveat in there, he appears to have made the leap from "rude woman at Timmy-Ho's" to "feminism has destroyed chivalry" to "feminism is bad."

i suppose ur right, insulting ur intelligence was uncalled for and heavy handed, but i digress, the point wasn't wether i put the y in women or not, the point was then there is a double standard, women are expected to be pampered and treating as equals, which isnt fair or logical, it's really just switching the sides of the oppression, which is just as sexist as any great crime against women in general that you can think of.

and the hitler analagy was simply to state that just one person does not represent the populous, and i dont know if you noticed it but i was agreeing with you -_-

It is a problem. Particularly annoying are the women on daytime shows who claim to 'speak for all women'. They have me swearing at the television, saying that the word 'mankind' is sexist and other such militant feminist bull.

'Wymen' are probably just trying to make up for the lack of rights women used to have years ago.
They seriously annoy me. On the rare occasion men hold the door open for me, or do something nice I always smile, say thank you and return the favour if possible.
Yes, women have rights now, we're allowed to be priests and doctors. Just leave them to their own devices, they'll come round soon enough.

I have never heard either womyn or wymen used untill this thread so forgive my ignorance on that. Some places in the world may be different but I was talking in general about the UK, where I live. I understand that in some countries women are still downtrodden and treated as lower forms of life, but this is not common in what we would call civilized countries.
Apart from the cases stated above women can acheive anything men can career wise and payment wise. As for domestic abuse and rape, as long as derranged peope exist that cannot be helped, plus domestic abuse can come from women as well.

the problem is that there are enough wymen (or WOMYN) that they are beginning to change things for what they view is the better, but from a technical standpoint its just them becoming what they complain about, and i dont necessarily hate feminists either, just the ones that take it too far. Wymen (or WOMYN) believe that they can't possibly be just as oppressive as what they claim to fight against

My question is why the hell do you even care? So she's a *****, so f-ing what - they exist, deal with it. And if it's such a big issue why did you not start yelling back at her saying she's ruining life for all women with her sexist feminist bull (women who go past equal rights to women are superior need to be shot down in flames from time to time) and it's women like her that are responsible for there being no decent guys, etc., etc.?
