I was recently (read: right now) on the Comment is Free section of the Guardian website, and I've found that within the comments section there is just so damn much snobbery from either side of an argument, that it gives me a god-damned headache. I've found the more popular a website, the greater the frequency of snobs; people who raise themselves over others simply because they hold a different view. Why, Escapist?

Well, it's true everywhere. Just take a peak at PC vs consoles debates or, gods forbid, "hardcores" vs "casuals". Same thing everywhere, even here. If you really wish, just go to R&P.

I guess larger sites are just more likely to draw the snobbery kind. I mean, their opinion is obviously superior, why waste it on a small community with only a handful of members? Better to show more people they are wrong.

Actually, it mostly stems from the fact that the stronger your feelings on the subject the more likely you are to write a response. So things escalate until only the people with very strong black and white opinions bother to post. The rest just sit back and watch the fireworks.

I'm not new, my friend. I've lurked on quite a few forums, and I know that there are snobs everywhere. It's just that some have a much higher frequency of snobs; I just would like to know why.

But, well, GIFT is in effect, rather often.

Can you do that? I don't think you can do that. I mean sure, illusion spells can be potent, but I'm pretty sure you can't out and out control another human. Animals and demons maybe, but not humans.

Who says it doesn't work on PCs too? No one has ever tried casting it on me. Apparently no one in Skyrim knows any Illusion spells other than Invisibility. I wonder how they got to 75 Illusion without knowing any of the lesser spells in the school :/
