We also have a 50% weakness to magicka.
You have a 50% weakness to magica. I have a 30% resistance to Cold magic and bonuses to Heavy Armor and Axes. Also Armoring, but I don't use that.
At least I'm not a meat-head Nord :p
Who needs magic when you have a magic sword? Isn't it basically the same thing?
Good luck hitting the right target with a magic sword when you are being mind controlled :D
Can you do that? I don't think you can do that. I mean sure, illusion spells can be potent, but I'm pretty sure you can't out and out control another human. Animals and demons maybe, but not humans.
Frenzy spells work well enough ;D
Only on NPCs. Do I seem inane enough to be an NPC? I mean, I hope not. I think I'm funny.
Who says it doesn't work on PCs too? No one has ever tried casting it on me. Apparently no one in Skyrim knows any Illusion spells other than Invisibility. I wonder how they got to 75 Illusion without knowing any of the lesser spells in the school :/
Really? I'm pretty sure a couple low-level Dremora tried it on me, didn't work. Maybe you're an NPC. Let's see.

Boy am I glad I have my magic-reflecting Heavy armor on. Also, magic sword. All the damage of a spell, none of the tedious studying.

What was that you were saying? Sorry I was distracted... I think I may have just beheaded your horse and used its severed head to beat a guard to death.

It's all a blur.

Oh, that's fine, I blackmailed an armorer for that horse. Still paid too much for it...

Also, you might want to run from the guards. They're screaming, "LAWBREAKER!"

I was recently (read: right now) on the Comment is Free section of the Guardian website, and I've found that within the comments section there is just so damn much snobbery from either side of an argument, that it gives me a god-damned headache. I've found the more popular a website, the greater the frequency of snobs; people who raise themselves over others simply because they hold a different view. Why, Escapist?

Captcha: SKYNET WATCHES.
I. Feel. Your. Pain.

The Guardian... those fucking people, man. Absolute, utter snobs of the worst kind.

I've actually blocked their music site from my browser. Mere glimpses of the comments there were enough to destroy my soul.

Have you read the comments to any articles about Coldplay? Don't do so unless you want to lose faith in humanity.

There's something so innately hypocritical about the fact that they use "middle-class" as their go-to insult for every situation.

The article that annoyed me was one about McDonalds. Vegetarian elitists. Meat-eating elitists. Animal Rights elitists. Anti-corporate elitists. Pro-corporate elitists.

My only weaknesses is social indifference and a lack of an ability to play nicely with others a lot of the time.

Oh and I take double damage from poison :\

OT: Welcome to how the majority of the population functions. Also the internet, where people can be twats because you can't smack them in the jaw for it.

I used to think this site had too many elitists. Then I went to the Guardian. Goddamn, but until you've seen anti-intellectual elitists you have not experienced true facepalm.

It looks like internet snobbery is really hard to avoid. Even putting down snobs (which we're doing here) is its own kind of snobbery. (Snobbery may not be a word, but like douchebaggery it damn well should be). I've realized that when I try contributing to a post, it's not long before someone says something stupid enough that my inner asshole comes raging forth (picture that in your mind, I dare you, I double dare you). Then I will usually reply with something condescending and realize... "i'm an asshole". I try to convince myself that people have to want to change and if they don't they should be ridiculed because positive reinforcement never works. So... having lost my train of thought I shall close with...

YOU ARE ALL AWESOME!!!

(Damn I thought I was going somewhere with that)

But all right, I will share some of my precious time with you. I should remind you that each of my minutes is worth more than a year of your life. Just so you don't forget.
That sounded less snobby and more like you were a generic anime tsundere.

OT: I don't mind elitist, it's the ignorant elitist like those that make me murder....
I mean want to murder...
I haven't killed...
Yet...

It's on the music places - they're the people who actually get snobby about the fact that they only listen to simple 3-chord pop songs. I once saw an article about a group of rappers who made music "to piss off old people" - the Guardianites loved it, saying (and I quote directly): "Wonderful. Truly, the spirit of '76." Before you ask, there didn't appear to be any irony involved.

And seriously, they love the word "wank" so much it's actually disturbing. Try to make pretty, detailed cover art? "Wanky". Your songs longer than 4 minutes/have more than 4 chords/slightly odd time signature/anything? "Middle-class wankfest". Your band tries to act nice and non-douchebaggy? "Pretentious wankstain".

I've seen one of them call Pink Floyd "a bunch of middle-class architecture students" and expect me to view it as a criticism. There's such a thing as taking the punk spirit too far.

Awww, I fail at snobbery :( Maybe I shouldn't visit any big websites in that case. Well, if nothing else I can go make a career in anime, it seems.

Because a lot of people mistake putting down someone else with actually dealing with their argument. It's also a lot easier and doesn't require actual thought and effort. The one requires looking stuff up, writing out a coherent argument, checking your spelling because God help you if you make a spelling mistake on an internet forum, and then post your comment. The other requires you to say "well you would say that you liberal/republican/elitist/uneducated/insert-form-of-snobbery-here hack!"

... well, that's enough Internet for today. Thank you, OhJohnNo, for telling me the story of the people who are so elitist that they think generic pop music is the greatest thing in the world. There's nothing more I can read tonight that will top that.
