Would he be fit enough? It won't work unless snake looks like he could kick the shit out of chuck norris. That of course means the only logical choice for snake is chuck norris. In seriousness, I can see Christian bale working, could work out to be an awsome film if it's done well, though I doubt it will be.

Honestly, I wish they'd do an Advent Children style animation/CGI thing that fans would enjoy rather than trying to make some Hollywood thing that everyone hates. Then they could keep all the voice-actors and save a bunch of money. Video game movies generally don't do well and/or they cheapen the brand. I think Advent Children was one of the better attempts.

Still, Christian Bale is awesome all-round. His name could possibly keep it from being shitty. But that's the problem with video game movies. You can't attract the right talent. Sure, James Cameron directing Christian Bale would be awesome, but it's not going to happen.

David Hayter all the way to play Snake in a movie. No one can replace David as the voice of Snake. If David would bulk up a little I think he could look a lot like Snake (be it BB or Solid)

I hated the way Bale talked when in the Batman persona in Dark Knight, it made me skip all the bits where he is talking and only watch the bits with The Joker and Gorden.

Edit :: Kirk Russel would make a great Snake, since Solid Snake is based of Kurk Russel's Escape from New York/LA.
