Christian Bale as Solid Snake...Whut?

None of these people are correct because Solid Snake is part Japanese.

He doesn't look or sound part Japanese in any of the games :/

1) He sounds Japanese in Japan.

2) Japanese popular art rarely looks like Japanese people actually do. When it does, it's a rarity at best (see Akira for an example of this)

But hey... I could believe you, or Metal Gear Solid itself... MGS tells me he's half Japanese...

1) they could have used a Japanese voice actor to do the English translation to get a Japanese accent.

2) The slight edge to your post made me retort in this manner.

But hey... I didn't realise the Japanese don't like drawing themselves so I believe it was okay to mistake a western looking character to be half-japanese.

Solid Snake is also an American, so having a Japanese accent wouldn't exactly be the correct way to go either.

But, he IS half Japanese by canon. Argue with the game itself, I'm just the messenger.
