I'm not sure if you guys heard about this but this is pretty crazy. This is audio of Christian Bale flipping out on some guy on the set of T4.

It sounds like a light technician walked on set during a shot. I dunno though. It seems like he gets payed plenty to do a do-over without complaints.

The problem is that we don't really know the context of the situation bar the fact that the guy had distracted Bale a couple of times. It could be a fault with Bale for not being good enough to act with distractions or the lighting guy may have been messing around. I do think nearly 4 minutes of ranting was a bit excessive though.

By some accounts his marriage is on the rocks. Not an excuse but certainly an explanation.

My guess is that he wasn't exactly having a good day. That sounds like a "straw that broke the camels back" sort of instance, it wasn't specifically the lighting technician, it was everything and the technician just walked into his line of fire.

It's rediculous, but we all flip out occasionally.

If I heard him right, it was a repeated offense. He may have been a bit harsh, but I do believe he said it was at least the second time. If it was a long scene, I'd be pretty pissed too, and some people just deal with it differently.

What most people will be looking for is a spoiled Hollywood actor biting the head off of a small time light technician. We don't know the context to say that, he could be in the right, he could not be, we don't know.

AS has been said earlier, we lack the context. If he's had one of the longer work days, and there's a hard scene, that get's interrupted twice by this lighting guy, well, sure, you get emoitional and angry. Allright, he screwed up, but perhaps he had his reasons. We won't know, since the clip only shows us the rant.
