Wait, clean healthy alternative? Games based upon books set in the time told by Revalations, the most demented book in the New Testement (you know, because its the end of the world) where the only people still around are those who are damned/unrepentant sinners are somehow good Christian values? So either they're bowderlizing the Bible, and in doing so are lying about God's word which is a sin, or they're being 100% true, in which case these games while Christian in nature should be as bad as God of War in the end (making them Dante's Inferno or Darksiders again).
Seriously, the combination of the Old Testement and the last few books of the New Testement are reasons why no Christian group should be allowed to condemn games for violence or sex.
Anyways as for this, I'd have to say it doesn't make sense in this age to release games in such small regions, though I understand why they didn't do online distribution. The people they're probably marking to more than likely aren't checking online for games, and probably don't even go to game stores either, but do indeed shop at Walmart and check out the electronic section only once in awhile. That being said, it's still a little strange to see such a limited market for consumers when this does indeed have the potential to be big, and it may indeed provide a positive opportunity for games as a medium.
Bookstores have sections devoted to Christian books (and some have other religions as well), why can't games as well. This might actually help out with consumers as genres are more clearly defined as well due to the want to keep these games seperate from others. To see why this is important: examine most every other store for mediums that you know. Music, books, and movies are all arranged by their respective genres when on the shelves, yet games even in stores that specialize in them don't have this yet. Wouldn't it help you when you're browsing and you come across a game you've never heard of to know what genre it is? And once again, when genres are made more clear, even nongamers will know what they are, which will earn games a bit more respect as a medium.
